Back-to-back away wins for Flint as Becca Eagles marked her first official game as player-manager with a vital goal.
The Silkwomen were a little slow off the mark and Bangor struck first from a corner, a scramble in the box leading to captain Ffion Bee finding the net with 10 minutes gone.
Flint steadily found their feet and equalised on 36 minutes.
Rosie Hughes delivered a corner, Eagles attempted to finish and the ball broke to left-winger Daisy Hughes, who scored her first goal in a Flint shirt since March 2024. Daisy is now benefiting from getting more game time after spells out with injury.
Flint notched the lead just before half time. Player of the match Beth Roberts, phenomenal again today, applied pressure which enabled her to take the ball into the box and square for Shannon Hobbs to score for the third game in a row.
The visitors knew they could play better in the second half and re-emerged full of fire. Three minutes in, Beth Roberts found player-manager Eagles, who struck the ball with unbelievable power and found the top of the net.
At this point it settled the away nerves but Bangor still pushed till the end and made Flint work hard for the win. The Citizens pressed constantly, but the Silkwomen defended solidly to complete a season’s double over their opponents.
Flint captain Ruby McGilloway said: “Always a good game against Bangor so we’re pleased to come away with 3 points. We travelled with a strong squad and everyone played their part. Well done to Beth, our POTM today who works tirelessly week in week out.”
