Connah’s Quay Nomads secured back-to-back Genero Adran North titles following a 2-0 home win over Flint Town United.
The Nomads went into the game knowing that victory would clinch top spot and they wasted no time as Phoebe Ellis fired home the opener after just five minutes.
Flint goalkeeper Shaunacy Kennedy was sent off on 28 minutes for handling the ball outside the area and Mel Barlow scored from the resulting free-kick to double the Nomads’ advantage.
With a player extra, the champions were able to see out victory in the second half and as well as retain the title make it 28 league games without defeat dating back two years.
Nomads are now set to take part in next month’s promotion play-off against Ardal South champions Cardiff Met University to decide who goes up to the Adran Premier.
At the same stage last season, Nomads led Pontypridd United 2-0 at half time, but ended up 3-2 losers.
