Caernarfon remain third in the Cymru Premier after completing a convincing double over Llansawel.

After winning 5-2 at The Renewable Centre Stadium back in September, Richard Davies’ side handed out another three-goal beating at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Saturday.

Corey Hurford gave Ferry the lead midway through the first half as he tucked the ball away from a tight angle after his initial shot was saved, but Caernarfon were level just four minutes later when Dylan Packer’s foul on Phil Mooney inside the area allowed Sion Bradley to net from the penalty spot.

The Cofis had completed the turnaround three minutes later as Adam Davies capitalised on Dan Jefferies’ tame back pass and bundled the ball past Will Fuller.

Keeper Fuller’s foul on Josh Lock in the box shortly after the hour mark saw Bradley convert from 12 yards once again.

Bradley was agonisingly denied a hat-trick as his thunderous effort from just inside the area rattled the crossbar, but Caernarfon did find a fourth goal in stoppage time when Mooney thumped home a header from Matty Jones’ corner.

Cardiff Met University 0 Connah’s Quay Nomads 3

Fourth-place Connah’s Quay Nomads made it four wins from their last five league games with an impressive 3-0 victory over Cardiff Met at Cyncoed Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides headed into the contest after going unbeaten throughout October, but the Nomads led inside just two minutes as Rhys Hughes converted from the penalty spot following Matt Chubb’s foul on Harry Franklin inside the area.

Hughes turned provider midway through the first half, as his clever lofted pass played through Franklin who slotted home for his sixth goal in as many league games.

John Disney’s side sealed victory in the 75th minute in much the same way as they had opened the scoring. Franklin was fouled in the box, this time by Joel Edwards, allowing Hughes to score from 12 yards.

Colwyn Bay 1 Barry Town United 4

Bay lost for the first time in six matches and suffered only their second home league defeat of the season.

The Seagulls took the lead after just 13 minutes as Aron Williams’ long throw sailed all the way through to Nathan Peate to tap in, but Barry were gifted an equaliser just seven minutes later as Ieuan Owen intercepted Lewis Sirrell’s tame pass and curled home into the bottom corner with Alex Brown off his line.

Owen completed a quickfire double in the 25th minute, while Bay’s first half got worse soon after when Lewis Sirrell was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Owen.

Ollie Hulbert added a third goal for Barry on 67 minutes and Robbie Willmott sealed victory after 77.

Flint Town United 3 Penybont 4

Penybont staged a late comeback to earn a 4-3 victory away at the Essity on Saturday.

The two sides went into the break level as Clayton Green’s instinctive volley into the top corner cancelled out Jack Thorn’s deflected header.

Noah Daley fired Bont ahead just five minutes into the second half with a low effort into the bottom corner, but Ben Wynne’s powerful first time strike and Mikey Burke’s tap in from Ben Hughes’ square ball saw Flint complete a quickfire turnaround to lead 3-2 after 67 minutes.

That was how it stayed until the final 10 minutes. James Crole neatly rounded Jack Flint and rolled into the net to make it all square, before Daley tapped home on the line after Nathan Wood’s effort was blocked. Victory ensured that Rhys Grifiths’ side remained second in the table.

Haverfordwest County 2 The New Saints 3

Bala Town 1 Llanelli Town 0 (Friday)

Olamide Ibrahim’s 14th minute goal proved enough for Bala to defeat basement side Llanelli at Maes Tegid.
The attendance was recorded as just 83 with some reporting it was considerably less.
