Opportunity ‘Knox’ at Wrexham for former Rhyl High School pupil

A former Rhyl High School pupil has landed herself a move to Adran Premier high-flyers Wrexham.
Wales youth international midfielder Faye Knox has joined the Red Dragons from Bolton Wanderers.
Born on March 2, 2005, the 20-year-old is a former Cymru U19 international who played junior football for Prestatyn Athletic before coming through the ranks at both Manchester City and Liverpool prior to joining then WSL2 side Blackburn Rovers.
The attacking midfielder started her journey in the academy of Manchester City Women, showing early promise and gaining interest for her attacking flair and an eye for a goal and assists.
After six years of progression at City, Knox made the move across the East Lancs into the youth setup at Liverpool, progressing through to U21 level and playing a number of games in the colours of the Reds.
Faye went in search of senior football to aid her development and joined Blackburn Rovers Ladies in the summer of 2023.
After a spell with Rovers, she joined Bolton Wanderers in September 2024 and was named as their Player of the Season for 2024/25.
That season saw Wanderers crowned North West Regional Division One North champions to earn promotion to the Premier Division.
During her time at youth level for Cymru, Faye also played alongside Wrexham AFC Women midfielder Lili Jones in 2022. Faye won 11 youth caps across the age groups.
She has been part of the Welsh setup since the age of 13. With the flexibility to play in a number of positions in the final third, her versatility is sure to benefit Wrexham.
Also signing for Wrexham is forward Evie Sadler, who will add to the already keen competition for striking berths in Jenny Sugarman’s squad.
The 18-year-old represented Cymru on the international stage at U17 level, and spent time in North Wales with the FAW Girls Academi until 2024, before joining Burnley.
She continued to develop as a player and now arrives in North Wales looking to take the next step in her career.
