NWCFA Junior Challenge Cup – wins for Prestatyn Sports, Llanfairpwll, Deiniolen, Amlwch and Prestatyn Wanderers make last 16 complete

NWCFA JUNIOR CHALLENGE CUP ROUND ONE – SEP 12-13
CPD Blue Bridge 3 Prestatyn Sports 4

Sports edged into the Junior Cup last 16 after coming out on top in a seven-goal thriller at Coronation Gardens.
Lewis Eyre-Williams and Alex Garrett put the visitors two-up inside eight minutes, Tom Bamber pulled one back on 23, Ashley Garrett soon made it 3-1, but Jonny Mee hit back for the hosts to cut the deficit to one at the break.
Early in the second half, Alex Garrett completed a brace to nudge Sports 4-2 in front, but Mee bagged his second for Bridge on 69 to keep things close.
However, that was the end of the scoring and Sports advanced.
Llanfairpwll 5 Rhuddlan Town 4
There was another cracker at Maes Eilian, where home side Llanfairpwll squeezed past Rhuddlan of North Wales Coast East Division One in a nine-goal bonanza.
The first half saw Rhuddlan captain Liam Bowers deliver a double, while Ashley Davies did likewise for the North Wales Coast West Division One hosts.
After the hour mark, Junior Cup specialists Llanfairpwll took control, Jake Turnbull and Carwyn Roberts on target to make it 4-2.
Bowers completed his hat-trick for the visitors on 86, Oisin Macareavey made it 5-3 six minutes into added time, but Harvey Gordon immediately hit back for Town, leaving Pwll happy to hold on for the honours.
Penrhyn Bay 1 CPD Deiniolen 1 (Deiniolen won 5-4 on penalties)
Deiniolen of North Wales Coast West Division One were delighted to emerge victorious in a penalty shoot out at The Oval.
Phemmy Allison struck first for Penrhyn Bay two minutes into the second half, but a Sion Roberts spot-kick on 74 drew Deiniolen level.
No further goals so it went to pens and the visitors triumphed 5-4.
Prestatyn Wanderers 5 Llangoed and District 3
Saeed Jones (2), Adam Cassidy (2, 1 pen) and Nathan Rowan ensured Wanderers reached the next round at the expense of the North Wales Coast West Division One leaders, who replied through Marquis Holland, Ifan Kotkowicz and Llion Alan Roberts.
This match was reported on in more detail by Grassroots North Wales over the weekend.
Bethesda Rovers 1 Amlwch Town 4
