North Wales Coast Development League: Holyhead Hotspur, Kinmel Bay and Nefyn maintain 100 percent records

NORTH WALES COAST DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE – REPORTS, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

WEST DIVISION

CPD Pentraeth Development 1 (Griffiths pen 45+1)
Holyhead Hotspur Development 6 (Buckley 20, Pritchard 29, Rowlands 39 & 42, Williams 60, Doyle 90+1)

Four straight wins for Hotspur with 22 goals scored and just three conceded – an impressive start to the season.
On Sunday, Holyhead travelled to Pentraeth and came away 6-1 winners.
Here is manager Scott Hakesley’s account of the game:
“Today we travelled to Pentraeth and received a warm welcome – great club, hospitality afterwards and throughout was perfect so thank you from us all
“It took us a while to get going but then on 20 minutes Cameron Buckley was brought down on the edge of the box and he dispatched the free kick into the bottom left corner.
“This opened up our play as we relaxed and started to play our game. Nice work from Kane Astles set up Sean Pritchard for a well-taken goal.
“Before half time two Buckley corners were converted into goals by Jordan Rowlands.
“In first half stoppage time, a mix up in the box led to a penalty being awarded to Pentraeth which Cai Griffiths put away nicely.
“Half time 4-1 and a relaxed changing room. Second half we made five changes. On the hour, Zac Williams with his first touch calmly slotted home and then Melv McGinness found Dan Doyle, who from long range found the bottom corner. Final result 6-1. MOTM for Pentraeth went to keeper Elliott Parry-Jones who saved 2 penalties.
“Holyhead Hotspur MOTM was Dan Mowbray, a rock all game and is definitely finding his feet with us now. We next have a home game v Llanfairpwll this Sunday, kick-off 2.30 pm.”

CPD Gaerwen Development 1 CPD Nefyn United – Tim Datblygu 3

Noa Griffiths, Llyr Evans and sub Tristan Harrison delivered the goals which made it four consecutive wins for the Penwaig, Jay Jones replying for the hosts.

CPD Llanfairpwll Development 1 CPD Mynydd Llandegai Development 3

Cain Edwards’ 43rd minute goal gave Llanfairpwll an interval lead, but Tommy Roberts (2) and Josh Royds turned the tables for Llandegai after the break.

Nantlle Vale Development 2 CPD Llanberis Development 1

Aaron Tocker and Tomos Jones were on target for winners Nantlle Vale, Ceian Jones replying with a penalty deep into injury time for the Darans. Both sides had a player red-carded.

CPD Pwllheli – Tim Datblygu 3 Bontnewydd Development 1

Luke Phillips, Cai Tate and Guto Williams all found the net for Pwllheli, Jason Owen having brought Bont level in the first half.

Trearddur Bay Development 5 Llanrug United Development 2

Josh Stanley, Noel Owen, Harry McMullan, Jacob Davies and Lennon Owen shared the goals which banked the points for Trearddur, who had captain Thomas Lennon red-carded on 70 minutes.
Josh Evans and Osian Neary supplied consolation strikes for Llanrug.

EAST DIVISION

Conwy Borough Swifts Dev 1 Kinmel Bay Development 2

Matchwinner Christian Akoha

Four wins from four matches for leaders Kinmel Bay who were given a good battle by Conwy.
Ben Preater edged Bay in front on nine minutes, Jacob Fraser equalised on 53 but sub Christian Akoha grabbed the decider after 76.

Glan Conwy Development 1 Prestatyn Sports Development 2

Lewis Eyre-Williams pocketed a 97th minute winner for Sports at Cae Ffwt.
Alex Garrett handed the visitors a half time lead before Ashton McTear made it 1-1 after 72 minutes.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Development 3 CPD Henllan Development 1

Harrylee Birchall, Mei Evans and captain Lewis Williams all made the scoresheet in Phoenix’s home victory, Alex Williams netting for Henllan.

Prestatyn Wanderers Development 1 Llandudno U19s Development 6

Jack Martins was a hat-trick hero for Llandudno whose other goals came via Ewan Dunn, Trystan Pawel and sub Jack Kennedy, Dougie Lonsdale the sole home hitman.

St Asaph Development 0 Mochdre Sports Development 11

Soloman Moore and Riley Cranham scored two apiece for double-figure Mochdre, Cole Roberts, Louis Davies, Kaiden Corry, Thomas Wardle, Jac Thomas, plus subs Billy Hoult and Kai Griffiths all adding one each.

CPD Y Glannau Tim Datblygol 5 CPD Blue Bridge Development 0

Michael Norval (2), Thomas Jones (2, 1 pen) and an own goal from visiting keeper Harley Higham made up the five goals which produced three points fr Y Glannau.
