Llangoed hit the Division One peak after inflicting a first league defeat of the season on a strong Cefni side at Tyddyn Paun.

The Puffins got off to a flyer, Dylan Williams putting them in front after just two minutes from a Matty Owen assist.

After seven minutes Llion Roberts made it 2-0, Wayne Thomas this time the chance supplier.

There was no further score until the 56th minute, Nathaniel Evans on the mark thanks to the good work of Dylan Williams.

While Cefni were unable to score, the reason they failed to do so was largely down to Puffins keeper Dion Lewis, who made some magnificent saves and was named Man of the Match for Llangoed.

Cefni’s Aaron Jones received the MoM award from the home team.

Holyhead Town 3 Amlwch Town 1

Goals from Chris Hughes and Nik Kontodios put Holyhead two-up at half time, and although the prolific Tomos Williams pulled one back for Amlwch on 59 minutes, Adam Morris’ third for the Harbourmen after 65 clinched the points.

Llanfairpwll 7 CPD Caernarfon Borough 0

Two youngsters produced eye-catching performances for Llanfairpwll in this seven-goal romp at Maes Eilian.

Sixteen-year-old goalkeeper Caio Roberts kept his first clean sheet for the club, while Dan Burns, also 16, scored two goals and supplied an assist.

Jason Williams also notched a double, while there were singles from Jake Turnbull, Iwan Williams and Gethin Owen.

CPD Mountain Rangers 2 CPD Gaerwen 5

Calum Thomas was a hat-trick star as Gaerwen recorded an impressive 5-2 victory on the road.

The 18-year-old Thomas netted after 44, 45+2 and 64 minutes with Jamie Patterson and Brooklyn Jones also finding the net.

Rangers led twice through Rhys Jones and Jac Parry, but by half time the Auctioneers had edged 3-2 in front.

CPD Pentraeth 1 CPD Aberffraw 1

Good show from Pentraeth as they denied early pace-setters Aberffraw a fourth straight league win.

Andy Clarke put Berffro ahead on 22 minutes from a Luke Winter assist, but sub Kian Abbott made it one-apiece with 72 gone, Charlie Dales setting him up.
