What’s the latest on the North Wales women’s football scene?

The start of the new league season for North Wales women’s football is just days away.
Already, we have had games played in the North Wales Coast Challenge Cup.
Matches in Tier 2 Ardal North and the new Tier 3 North Wales Coast Women’s League are scheduled to begin on September 7.
The North East Wales Women’s League is no more, although it is understood that the NEWFA will run a recreation league in 2025-26.
A new competition, the Central Wales North Ladies League, sanctioned by both the CWFA and FAW,is to be formed involving Central Wales and North East Wales clubs.
As of yet, details of its members have not been released. The CWFA have been contacted and we await a response.
The CWFA have stated on X/Twitter that the details of the new league are on COMET, but nothing was visible earlier today.
Hopefully, the likes of Airbus UK Broughton, Buckley Town and Northop Hall will be involved in the new set-up.
In the meantime, here are the summer signings we are aware of to date. The most active clubs have been Llangefni Town, Flint Town United and CPDM Bangor.
