The Fab 15 become Super 12 – women players to watch out for in North Wales football 2025-26

Pwllheli’s highly-rated Sian Moore is one of this season’s Super 12

Every season Grassroots North Wales has chosen its Fab 15 – our 15 players to watch in the forthcoming women’s football campaign.

Players selected can be of any age, as long as they compete in senior North Wales women’s football and look a good prospect to make an impact in the months ahead.

This season’s choices have been made harder by the fact we are unaware what is happening in North East Wales women’s football this season.

Until that is made clear – and approaches have been made to find out – we cannot select players from that area – much as we’d like to – in case there is no league.

Therefore, our selections are limited to Adran Premier (Tier 1), Adran North (Tier 2) and North Wales Coast Women’s League (Tier 3).

While some clubs have been very helpful in providing pre-season info, others have put out nothing whatsoever.

The season starts this weekend (NWCFA Challenge Cup) and the league campaigns get underway in three weeks. I don’t think we can be accused of publishing this feature too early!

So, we’ve done what we can. The Fab 15 now becomes the Super 12, which is perhaps more fair, as the men only get 12 too – the Dynamic Dozen.

Holly Owen Roberts (CPDM Bangor)

This 16-year-old midfielder has made a great impression in pre-season for new club Bangor, scoring three times in friendlies to date.
Born in Bangor, Holly moved to South Wales aged three, but has now returned north to live in the area of her birth.
A Wales Under-16 international, she represented the FAW Girls Academy South Under-14 and Under-17 sides before joining Genero Adran South club Cascade YC in January 2025.

Anna Jones (CPDM Y Felinheli)

Among the top contenders for signing of the summer in North Wales Women’s football is Anna Jones.
The 30-year-old midfielder from Caernarfon has joined CPDM Y Felinheli of the tier 2 Adran North league for the 2025-26 season.
A hard-working, tough-tackling, skilful midfielder, Anna left Welsh football in February 2020, spending more than five years in the English pyramid representing Chester and Tranmere Rovers,
Before that she won a host of trophies with Caernarfon Town prior to signing for WPWL club Llandudno.
Her skills and experience should prove invaluable to Felinheli.

Lexi Walsh (Kinmel Bay)

Amazing prospect who made her debut for Kinmel Bay Ladies aged 16 last season and netted a phenomenal 15 goals in just seven games.
Prior to that she was an absolute goal machine for the Bay’s younger age group sides, including helping Kinmel U17s reach the Under-16 Welsh Cup final and win the North Wales Girls Football League U15 Cup.
In 2023-24 she amassed 71 goals in 22 matches.

Paris Schofield (Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Standout player for a Llanfair United side which surpassed expectations by finishing second in the Adran North last season.
Jordan Parry is delighted to have signed this 20-year-old dazzlier, who netted seven goals and provided five assists in 14 league appearances for Llanfair in 2024-25.
Possesses the physical, athletic and technical traits typical in the complete midfielder. Was nominated for Adran North Young Player of the Season last term.

Elin Roberts (Llangefni Town)

Dan Gregg has enjoyed a very productive summer in the transfer market for his ever-improving Llangefni Town side.
One of his exciting new recruits is Elin Roberts, 18, who was top scorer for The New Saints Under-19s last season with eight goals in seven appearances.
Settling into the Cefni squad will be no problem for Elin, as sheis reunited with former Caernarfon Town team-mates Jess Jones and Amber Brown.
While goal queen Jess continues her recovery from knee surgery, it is hoped Elin will be finding the net regularly in the North Wales Coast Women’s League.

Hannah Owen (Llandudno)

This outstanding winger has earned the chance to show off her talents in Tier 2 with two-time Adran North champions Llandudno.
After four great seasons at Llangefni Town, where the 32-year-old made 87 appearances between 2021-22 and 2024-25, netting 21 goals, Hannah is tipped to shine for Tudno.
She represented Ynys Môn at the International Island Games in 2023 and 2025, performing brilliantly in the recent Orkney tournament.
The popular player won the Betty Pickering Cup with Llangefni in 2023-24 and helped the team finish second in the North East Wales League West Division two seasons in a row.

Becca Eagles (Flint Town United)

After four inspirational seasons with CPD Y Rhyl 1879, midfield taliswoman Becca has decided to join fellow Adran North club Flint for 2025-26.
What a signing for the Silkwomen! Becca has the kind of talent and experience which can only benefit her new club.
A Wales international at under-15 and U-17 levels, Becca joined Rhyl 1879 on formation in 2021-22.
She helped the Lilywhites win the North Wales League title as invincibles in their first season, netting 17 goals.
Overall, her record at Rhyl 1879 was 65 appearances, 32 goals.
A strong tackler, brilliant passer with an ability to score from long range as well as excelling from set-pieces, Becca and Flint can be good for each other.

Magi Pierce (CPDM Henllan)

While Henllan will need to cope without the finishing of last season’s 65-goal hero Beth Roberts this term, they still have their ultra-reliable captain Magi Pierce at the back.
Magi had a tremendous debut campaign with the Vale of Clwyd villagers, helping lead them to the Betty Pickering Shield Final and remain North East Wales League East Division title contenders until late in the season.
At the end of last term, Magi was named Player’s Player of the Season at Henllan – a totally deserved award.

Sian Moore (CPDM Pwllheli)

Up until last season Sian Moore had never scored a goal for Pwllheli.
She was always one of the first names on the team sheet, but solely for her ability as an outstanding defender.
Last season, she was switched to a more advanced role down the flanks and the results were magic – 11 goals for a team which was crowned the overall North East Wales League champions for a second successive campaign.
Sian scored a first hat-trick for the club in a 12-0 win over Amlwch Town and basically had the time of her life on a football field.
What will she have in store for us this season? 100 percent as always for sure, whatever position she plays in.

Menna Evans (CPDM Bangor)

If her form in pre-season is anything to go by, Menna Evans is going to be a major force in 2025-26.
After starring for Ynys Môn in the Orkney Island Games, the 19-year-old forward has been in ruthless form in front of goal for CPDM Bangor in summer warm-up games.
The fact she was tier 2 Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season in 2023-24 says plenty.
Menna has made 40 appearances for Bangor’s first team and knocked in 21 goals.
Dynamic on the ball and pacy with the ability to take on defenders at will, she is truly one to watch this season.

Beth Jones (Llangefni Town)

Hard-working defender who raised her profile by impressing for Ynys Môn in the 2025 Island Games.
Beth had an excellent season for Llangefni last time out and has made 40 appearances for the team since 2023-24. She was a Betty Pickering Cup winner with Cefni two seasons ago.
Prior to that, Beth was in the Amlwch Town squad which won the North Wales League Division Two title in 2019.
She also featured for Bangor City and Caernarfon Town in the Welsh Premier League, plus was in the Ynys Môn squad which reached the Inter-Games final in 2019.

Shelby Wild (Kinmel Bay)

We had to have a goalkeeper involved and who better than Kinmel Bay’s ‘Safe Hands’ who had an excellent 2024-25 season.
Shelby kept seven clean sheets in 19 appearances and helped Bay lift the Betty Pickering Shield.
She has been with the team for the past two seasons and produced endless fine performances, her bravery and shot-stopping ability standing out.
