An unusual sight at the bottom of the JD Cymru Premier!

Here’s a rarity!
The New Saints are rock bottom of the JD Cymru Premier League after Sunday’s shock 3-0 home loss to Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Of course, it is highly likely that within a week or so, the record 17-time champions will be rising up the table, but just for now the current standings might give the other 11 clubs a little hope that it won’t be the usual procession this term….well, just a smidgen…..

Sunday, August 10, brought……
️ TNS’ heaviest defeat for four years
️ TNS’ first opening weekend defeat for eight years
️ TNS’ first EVER opening weekend defeat at home
All five North Wales clubs in the top flight took a point from their opening games.
In Saturday’s only match, an injury time leveller from the evergreen Darren Thomas, just moments after he came on as a substitute, earned Caernarfon Town a 2-2 result at Cardiff Met.
Matty Jones had earlier pulled a goal back for the Canaries on 78 minutes after first half net-finders from CJ Craven (penalty) and Ryan Reynolds handed the students a 2-0 interval advantage.
On their return to the Cymru Premier, Colwyn Bay drew 1-1 with Connah’s Quay Nomads in front of 1.516 at the Blue Turtle Arena.
Jason Oswell edged Nomads in front on 27 minutes, but Nathan Peate equalised after 36.
Hussein Mehasseb gave Bala Town a 20th minute lead at home to Flint Town United, who restored parity through Ben Wynne on the half-hour in a clash which ended 1-1.
