New manager, new ground, new season, new fixture list – it’s all happening for Wrexham FC Women!

Exciting times for Wrexham AFC Women.
Hot on the heels of Jenny Sugarman being appointed their new head coach, the team has now found a permanent home and today discovered their first opponents in the new Adran Premier season.
It was announced this week that Wrexham AFC have completed the purchase of The Rock stadium in Rhosymedre, thus securing a long-term base for the women.
Their first game at the North Wales ground this season will be shown live on S4C on Sunday, September 14, against Barry Town United, kick-off 5.10 pm.
Before that, their opening league fixture of 2025-26 will be away to Briton Ferry Llansawel on September 7.
After finishing fourth in the top flight last season, Wrexham will look to improve upon their league position following the appointment of Sugarman in July.
The cross-border derbies against TNS have been scheduled for Sunday, September 21 and Sunday, November 11 respectively, with the first of those fixtures being away from home.
Wrexham will face reigning champions Cardiff City at home on Sunday, October 12 – a week after travelling down for an away clash against Swansea City.
In total, Sugarman’s side are set to play nine league matches until the New Year, before facing Cardiff City on Sunday, January 4 in South Wales.
Matches against Barry Town United (A) and Briton Ferry Llansawel (H) will follow, closing out Phase One in the Genero Adran Premier.
The league will then split, with the top four competing for the title and the chance to play in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and the bottom four fighting to avoid relegation.

THE ROCK
The Rock has served as the main training and match venue for Wrexham AFC Women since the pre-season of the 2023/24 season, as well as being the historical home of Cefn Druids.
Following its purchase, The Rock will now become the official home ground and training centre for Wrexham AFC Women, while Druids will continue to have use of the facilities for their training and fixtures.
The club will be putting in place plans to improve the current facilities at The Rock and help consolidate Wrexham AFC Women’s status in the Adran Premier League, following their promotion to the highest level of women’s football in Wales as from the 2023/24 season.
