Jamie Hulse’s first game as Cefn Albion manager was a winning one.

Alex Williams’ 40th minute goal was enough to seal the hosts victory over Hulse’s former club Corwen.

A crowd of 352 gathered at the refurbished MUGA to see the home side edge a tight contest.

Penmaenmawr are quickly finding out that Tier 3 is a very different proposition to the Tier 4 league they dominated last season.

Following a 7-1 opening day thrashing at Porthmadog, Phoenix shipped another six against Trearddur Bay on Wednesday night.

Not all opponents will be as powerful as Pen’s first two, though, and the Cae Sling outfit have enough talent within to be getting much improved results soon.

New striker Christoph Aziamale was the star for Trearddur, scoring a hat-trick in his second appearance for the Anglesey club.

The 27-year-old from Germany, a former Cymru Premier player with the likes of Bangor City, Aberystwyth Town, Bala Town and Cefn Druids, struck on 24, 69 and 72 minutes at Bangor City Stadium, Bay’s temporary home.

Tom Hilditch converted a first half penalty and added time goals after the 90 from Josh Stanley and Sean McCaffery ensured the Beach Boys finished on the crest of a wave.
