For much of the 2025 season the North Wales Cricket League has been starved of runs, but that was certainly not the case across Divisions 2, 3 and 4 last Saturday.
Across the three divisions, ELEVEN centuries were compiled. On some weekends this season, we’ve been fortunate to report on one with wickets much more suitable for bowling.

Put into bat, the visitors chalked up 174-9 off 40 overs, Joel Sampson scoring 50 and Danny Peover 45, while Cameron Davies scooped a remarkable 5-3 off four for the hosts, Iwan Roberts bagging 2-17.
In reply, Saints were sent packing for just 103, Richard Aram 34, while Shaw’s five-for was well supported by Abbey Mayers (2-15).
Abergele’s Nathan Aldridge struck a mighty 148 not out – his third highest career score but biggest in 13 years – in a resounding win for the home side.
Aldridge’s knock came off just 99 balls and included 15 fours and 10 massive sixes as the hosts amassed 220-6 off 40 overs, captain Lewis Tolond adding 31, while Nathan Humphreys picked up an impressive 2-11 from eight for the visitors.
