Lethal Liam is now the all-time Ynys Môn goal king!
Liam Morris made history today when his penalty put Ynys Môn men through to the 2025 Island Games football final in Orkney.
The CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 winger scored an all-time record 10th goal for Anglesey at an Island Games, edging him one ahead of long-time leader Richard ‘Boskin’ Hughes.
Morris, 26, played for Llanfairpwll, Gaerwen, Llangefni Town, Conwy Borough and Holyhead Hotspur before joining Bangor 1876 in 2022-23. He has netted 41 goals in 86 appearances for Bangor.
He first made his mark for Ynys Môn at the 2019 Inter-Games, netting in wins over Western Isles and Jersey before scoring an equaliser in the final against Guernsey – a phenomenal volley on the run.
In Guernsey two years ago, Morris struck four times in three group games, Shetland Islands, Falkland Islands and Isle of Man the opposition.
Now at the current Games in Orkney, he is Môn’s top-marksman, scoring in all three matches to date against Western Isles, Bermuda and Isle of Man.
