Caernarfon Town striker Louis Lloyd has transferred to Scottish Championship club St Johnstone for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old, who hails from Llandudno, joins the Perth-based tier 2 outfit on a three-year deal.

St Johnstone were relegated from the SPL last season after finishing bottom of the table.

Lloyd played a starring role as Caernarfon Town achieved a joint record fourth-place finish in the JD Cymru Premier last season and reached the European play-off final.

He scored five goals in the final four games of the regular season to share the golden boot with a tally of 16, before netting another four in the 5-2 play-off quarter-final victory over Barry Town United.

Lloyd was named the JD Cymru Premier Young Player of the Season for 2024/25 and chosen for the JD Cymru Premier Team of the Season.

He joined the Cofis at the start of 2023-24 and netted 30 goals in 74 competitive appearances for the club. Two months ago, he signed a two-year deal with Town, but the lure of the Scottish Championship brought a change of direction.

Lloyd’s former clubs also include Shrewsbury Town and Wrexham.
