This is the 200th pre-season signing we have featured ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and what a good one it looks to be.
James Williams, 28, has ended a long association with St Asaph City by joining Ardal North West newcomers Prestatyn Town.
Naturally a right-winger, James can play anywhere across the front line.
Known as Twinny – he has a twin brother Daniel – James has impressed for Prestatyn in summer warm-up games, scoring a hat-trick against Greenfield.
Town manager Gareth Thomas has been following James’ progress for some time and is more than happy to get his man.
Over the past five seasons, James has made 125 appearances and scored 42 goals for Saints playing at tier 3 and 4 levels.
He was especially outstanding in 2022-23, when Asaph won a treble of North Wales Coast East Premier Division title, Cookson Cup and NWCFA Intermediate Cup.
James netted 18 league goals and 20 in total that season.
At the start of 2023-24, he pocketed a hat-trick as Saints hammered Rhyl Dragons 18-0 in the Welsh Cup – a record victory for a North Wales club in the competition.
Goalkeeper Jones remains in tier 3 this season after signing for Ardal North West club Llangefni.
Formerly with the now disbanded CPD Waunfawr, the 24-year-old from Caernarfon joined Nantlle Vale at the start of 2021-22.
He spent much of his first two seasons at Maes Dulyn representing Nantlle’s development side, but from the start of 2023-24 he made the first team No1 jersey his own.

Another new face from the English pyramid for the Lilywhites in the shape of dynamic winger and attacking midfielder James Farr.
Farr arrives with valuable experience, having previously played for Litherland REMYCA, AFC Liverpool, Widnes and Burscough. Known for his creativity, pace, and eye for goal, he brings added flair to the final third and strengthens the club’s attacking options.
Industrious midfielder with an eye for goal returns to Ruthin Town.
Left Ruthin at the end of 2022-23, having mainly featured for the reserves that season, winning the FAW Reserve North West League Cup.

Tier 3 Ardal North West newcomers Bethesda have unveiled their first new signing of the 2025-26 campaign.
The new man is Caio Hywel, a former Bangor City, Holyhead Hotspur and Llanberis centre back, who has also been capped for Wales at under 18 level.
Pesda assistant-manager Geraint Jones said: “To say we’re delighted to get this one done is an understatement. We’ve been in dialogue since the end of last season.
“Caio’s known to Math (son) and myself from our time together at Llanberis, where his qualities as a player and person stood out.
“Still only 28, but his experience at this level and higher will be a fantastic asset to the team.”
Defender returns to Gresford for his second spell at the club, becoming the first team’s sixth signing of the 2025/26 summer transfer window.
