Llangefni Town Ladies have signed a dynamic young talent from the island for the 2025-26 season.
Lowri Thomas, 20, last featured in the 2023-24 season for Amlwch Town.
A speedy wide player, Lowri first emerged with Caernarfon Town Under-16 Girls in the 2019-20 season, then in 2021-22 she joined Amlwch, scoring twice early in the campaign in a 4-1 victory over Trearddur Bay in the North Wales Women’s League and netting nine times in all.
She appeared briefly for the all-blues in 2022-23, then in 2023-24 scored her first senior hat-trick in a 10-2 defeat of Trearddur, also helping Amlwch reach the Betty Pickering Cup semi-finals where she found the net in a 7-4 loss to Llangefni, who went on to lift the trophy.
Cefni manager Dan Gregg is delighted to get the youngster on board for the season ahead in tier 3.
Meanwhile, winger Ffion Thomas has left Llangefni and signed for CPDM Bangor.
The 28-year-old has spent all of her senior career at Cefni apart from a month’s spell at CPDM Y Felinheli last term. She returned to Llangefni in February 2025 and scored four times in eight games.
In all, she made 66 appearances for Cefni, netting 27 goals, including 17 in 21 matches in the North Wales Women’s League in a productive 2022-23.
Town chief Gregg reports that goal machine Jess Jones is progressing well from knee surgery which brought an early end to her 2024-25 season.
Striker Jen Cox has signed for 2025-26, but is likely to be unavailable for much of the campaign.
