CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 will soon have a new board

Proposed changes in the way CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 is run in the future have been agreed.

At the AGM of the Bangor Football Supporters Society Ltd (BFSS), members voted in favour of a transition that will see the football operations of BFSS (under which Bangor City 1876 operates) transferred to Bangor City FC Ltd.

While the BFSS Trust Board and the Bangor City 1876 FC Board will be standing down from their current operational role, they reaffirmed their continued commitment to the process, and will be working with Bangor City FC Ltd to ensure a smooth transition.

This includes supporting both the incoming BFSS Trust Board and the BCFC Ltd Board. The hope is that this transition period will be relatively short.

During the AGM, it was also agreed that:

• BFSS will continue to operate, maintaining its structure as a Supporters’ Society.
• Several individuals volunteered to take on roles within the Trust and help manage BFSS moving forward, with further additions expected over the coming weeks.
• The football operations (Bangor City 1876 FC) will transfer to BCFC Ltd, with all parties working together to ensure this is carried out in line with BFSS rules and Tier 2 Licence requirements.
• The current BFSS and 1876 Board members will support the transition process, to ensure compliance and stability during the transition.

The current Boards of BFSS and Bangor City 1876 have pledged full support to both the new BFSS representatives and BCFC Ltd during this period.

Their collaborative approach aims to honour the work carried out over the past six years in safeguarding the future of senior football in the city.

The Football Association of Wales and North Wales Coast Football Association will be consulted throughout this process to ensure the Club work within the Rules and Regulations, specifically the FAW Licencing Regulations.
