Football club fundraiser supported by caring cops

One of North East Wales’ most promising up and coming football clubs have a charity game lined up against big-hearted police officers to raise funds for the new season.

Broughton United Vets will take on Wrexham Police at Airbus UK Broughton on Sunday, August 3, kick-off 3 pm.

The game is a community fundraiser for Broughton United FC.

The Broughton men’s first team were crowned tier 5 North East Wales Championship title-winners in their debut season and will campaign in the North East Wales Premier in 2025-26.

Broughton United is a family oriented, community-driven football club with over 30 teams, ranging from Under-5s to Veterans, and more than 500 registered players, both male and female.

This club is built on passion, community, and grassroots spirit, but it needs support to keep going strong.
All funds raised will go directly towards:

• New kits for youth and adult teams
• Essential equipment to help with training and development
• Running costs, including venue hire and matchday expenses.
• Broughton United are also offering the opportunity to join their sponsorship team. Whether it’s a one-off event or long-term support, your contribution makes a big difference to their players and community.
