CPDM Bangor unveil new manager

Rich Parry is the new first team manager and coach at CPDM Bangor

CPDM Bangor WFC has appointed Rich Parry as new first team manager and coach.

He played at CPD Bro Cernyw for over a decade. Whilst still playing, Rich began his coaching journey at Conwy Borough Academy before taking up roles at Crewe Alexandra Ladies, Rhos United, and most recently at Bala Town Academy.

Aron Griffith and Lois Regan, last season’s management team, will remain part of the set-up.

“It’s great to be joining CPDM Bangor,” said Parry. “The welcome I’ve had has been amazing, and I’m really looking forward to working with Aron and Lois nurturing our pathway and developing a team that can be competitive on the field.

“There are clearly progressive and exciting plans for the future in place; it’s a project that I’m looking forward to being involved in. The committee have set us targets for next season and provided us with the tools to do the job in terms of facilities, equipment, support, and budget.

“The club has arguably the best facilities in the league, and some pretty hefty investment has, and is being made into the infrastructure and teams playing at the Stadium; there’s a huge buzz around the place.”

CPDM Bangor first emerged at the start of 2021-22 in the North Wales Women’s League, finishing runners-up behind champions CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

In 2022-23, Bangor won the North Wales League with an invincible record of 20 wins and two draws, scoring 120 goals and conceding just eight.

For the past two seasons, Bangor have stepped up in class after being promoted to the Tier 2 Genero Adran North.

In 2023-24, they finished seventh out of eight teams and it was the same story this season.
