North Wales Coast East – Premier title race heading down to the wire
NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE
The fantastic battle to win this season’s North Wales Coast East League Premier Division title is now a virtually assured two-horse race.
Penmaenmawr Phoenix and Kinmel Bay are going head on to finish top of the tree.
Both sides won on Wednesday, leaving Pen at the summit with 64 points from 24 games, while Bay are on 62 from 25.
These two great rivals, who shared a classic Cookson Cup Final on Saturday which finished 4-4 after extra time with Phoenix winning on penalties, still have to meet once more in the league – at Kinmel Bay on May 21 – in what could be a title decider.

Premier Division
Llandudno Junction 1 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 3
Phoenix made it 24 games unbeaten in the Premier with a great win at an on-form Junction on Wednesday evening.
James Hobson nudged Pen in front on 10 minutes, Adam Hold with the assist, and Daniel Williams made it 2-0 with his 34th goal of the season with 16 on the clock.
Junction hit back on 25 through Dan Prince to set up an interesting second half.
And the outcome was not settled until Phoenix went on to clinch the points when Kyle Cooper made it 3-1 in the 88th minute.
Kinmel Bay 6 Rhuddlan Town 0
Bay put the disappointment of Saturday’s Cookson Cup Final defeat behind them with a ruthless demolition of relegated Rhuddlan.
The Morfa side boosted their own impressive run of matches undefeated in the Premier to 19.
Connor Morris put the hosts in front with his 31st goal of the campaign on 10 minutes and then provided the assist for Sean Sheridan to make it two after 20.
Daniel McIlvogue added a third and Tate Walker made it four before half time.
In the second half, Mason Richards and young talent Jacob Jones added further strikes for the home side.

All-square at Bastion Gardens, Jamie Haggas edging Llanfairfechan ahead on 73 before Kyle Rpbb bagged an 86th minute equaliser, Greg Hall with the assist.
