Who are the Grassroots North Wales’ Clwb y Mis/Club of the Month for April 2025?

Two major cups won, another final to come, runners-up in the Cymru North and pushing champions Colwyn Bay to the last day – it has to be Airbus UK Broughton for the April Grassroots North Wales Clwb y Mis/Club of the Month award.

Remarkably, this is the first time the Wingmakers have won our monthly accolade – they have been contenders so often, but on each occasion another club has just nudged them out.

But their moment was always destined to come and in April, Mark Allen’s side were on fire.

The only slight blot on the copybook was a home draw with Mold Alexandra, but that did not cost them the title. Even if they had beaten the Alex, they would still have finished a point in arrears of Colwyn Bay.

Airbus could still end the season with a trophy treble.

During April, they pipped Bangor 1876 2-1 in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup Northern Final and then went on to win the national by beating Cymru South outfit Trefelin – Lee Trundle and all – 3-2.

Airbus also edged past Corwen on penalties to reach the NEWFA Challenge Cup Final, where they will take on Holywell Town this month.

With seven games played, six wins and a draw. Airbus are the standout club for April.
