Two teams which could end up fighting it out for the Premier Division title met in cup action on Saturday – and it was Gwalchmai who very much came out on top,
There were two early goals at Maes Meurig, Connor Owen converting a third-minute penalty before Cian Williams levelled on nine for Pesda. It stayed 1-1 up to half time.
On the hour Gwalch edged ahead, Marc Evans on target via a Tyler Jones assist.
Dion Jones made it 3-1 after 68, Connor Owen setting him up.
And it was Owen who rounded things off in the 90th minute with his 25th goal of the season, Gwion Thomas the supplier.
Round one to Gwalchmai, but these two rivals still have to meet twice in the league!
CPD Boded 7 Bontnewydd 0
Seven heaven for Boded with Justin Williams leading the way bagging a hat-trick.
Dylan Griffith, Alifie Dodds, plus a goal apiece from subs Ashley Westwell and Jordan Taylor made up the rout.
Glantraeth 6 CPD Pentraeth 2
Connor Gordon (2), captain Dion Evans, Arwel Williams, Andy Clarke and Gerallt Jones split the goals for victorious Glantraeth, Celt Rowlands and Charlie Dales replying.
CPD Llannerchymedd 2 CPD Llanberis 4
Gethin Maxwell (2), Huw Owen and Ifan Mansoor notched the goals which won this time for the Darans, Arden Gisbourne and Hywel Jones hitting back for the Medd.
Llanrug United 2 CPD Mynydd Llandegai 6
Gethin Davies, Muhammad Hosany, Tomos Jones, Steven Tindall, Liam Willighan and Iestyn Marlow made up the scoresheet entries for a Llandegai side which won in extra time after it ended 2-2 on 90 minutes, Josh Evans with both for Llanrug.
CWPAN MENAI TRACTORS QUARTER-FINALS
Amlwch Town 2 Bethesda Rovers 3
Victory on the road for Rovers, Tomos Williams, Harry Jones and Kieron Bullock – with an 84th minute decider – their marksmen, Chris Byast and Dan Jones responding for Amlwch, who had Callum Hughes dismissed for a second yellow on 83.
CPD Deiniolen 2 Caergybi 2 (Caergybi won on 4-3 pens)
Great win on penalties for Caergybi.
After a goalless first half, Kaden Nisbet edged Deiniolen in front on 61, but James Ryan levelled after 72, forcing extra time.
Adam Taylor struck early in the first period for the visitors, but an Ash Beck own goal meant spot-kicks were needed to find a winner – and it was Caergybi who prevailed.
Holyhead Town 1 Llangoed and District 2

The deadly Marquis Holland won this tie for Llangoed with a two-goal salvo inside the first 15 minutes of this clash wuth Holyhead.
All hail the Marquis of Millbank!
Callum Queen pulled one back for the Harbourmen on 49 minutes, but that was the end of the scoring.

Garem Jones was a hat-trick hero for Talysarn, Iestyn Worth, Gethin Jones and sub Guto Hughes also on the mark for the rampant visitors.
CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 2 CPD Nefyn United 2
The unbeaten run goes on for Nefyn, who are second in the table.
Alun Hughes and Gwion Davies struck for Penrhyndeudraeth, while 16-year-old Noa Griffith delivered a double for the Penwaig.

CPD Gaerwen 2 Llanfairpwll 1
Joy in the derby for Gaerwen as Maodg Williams and Calum Thomas pocketed the goals which brought the Auctioneers victory.
Tomos Williams responded with his 26th goal of the season.
