SATURDAY, APRIL 5 (2.30 pm)
Airbus UK Broughton v Mold Alexandra
Bangor 1876 v Caersws
Colwyn Bay v Llandudno
Holywell Town v Gresford Athletic
Prestatyn Town v Penrhyncoch

There’s a huge weekend coming up at both ends of the JD Cymru North table.
Top two Colwyn Bay and Airbus UK Broughton, just a point apart, both face testing home games in their penultimate fixtures of the season.
Saturday sees leaders Bay host fourth-place rivals Llandudno, who until last weekend’s loss to Buckley had gone eight unbeaten, while Airbus in second spot entertain Mold Alexandra, lying seventh and ending the campaign strongly.
With Llay Welfare and Prestatyn Town already relegated, three teams could still join them – Caersws, Bangor 1876 and Ruthin Town.
In the mother of all six-pointers, 1876 are home to Caersws on Saturday where a huge crowd is expected at Bangor City Stadium.
Bangor are coming off a demoralising 6-1 loss at Mold last weekend – their sixth league defeat in a row – but inspired by their fervent supporters, Michael Johnston’s side will be going all out for a win which could make them safe, depending on Ruthin’s result at Buckley on Friday.
From 28 of 30 fixtures each completed, Caersws have 31 points, Bangor 28 and Ruthin 25.
Renowned battlers Ruthin simply have to win at Buckley to maximise their chances of staying up.

MATCH REPORTS

TUESDAY, APRIL 1

Airbus UK Broughton 2 Penrhyncoch 0

Airbus moved to within a point of leaders Colwyn Bay with a crucial 2-0 home win over Penrhyncoch on Tuesday night.
Four minutes before the break the Wingmakers took the lead when Jordan Evans netted direct from a free kick.
Early in the second half, George Peers made it 2-0 following great build-up involving Tyler McManus and Danny Warren.

Buckley Town 1 Mold Alexandra 2

Goals from Emmanuel Lawal and Fabrizio Murtas secured a superb three points for a Mold side no doubt still on a high after the weekend 6-1 thrashing of Bangor.
All the goals at The Globe on Tuesday came in the first half, Connor Littler with a superb strike from range to keep Bucks in the contest.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29

Flint Mountain 5-1 Penrhyncoch

Sweet revenge for Mountain as they thrashed a Penrhyncoch side which has beaten them 6-1 at Cae Baker just four days earlier.
Aaron Simpson broke the deadlock for the hosts by poking home from close range on 34 minutes, while Kieran Ball doubled the lead after 42 as he rounded Penrhyncoch goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins to score his first Mountain goal.
Mike Hayes added his name to the scoresheet nine minutes into the second half by stealing the ball off a defender and firing home, before Jack Parry’s half volley made it 4-0 in the 73rd. An own goal from Dylan Owens spoilt Mountain’s clean sheet, but Sam Rockall’s close-range finish completed the scoring for Aden Shannon’s side late on.

Gresford Athletic 3-1 Caersws

The Colliers opened the scoring just after the half-hour when Charlie Mann’s cross was turned into his own net by Caersws midfielder Dillon Browne.
Haci Ozlu doubled the lead two minutes into the second half with a neat finish, while Joe Ormrod’s strike from distance made it 3-0 in the 71st. There was a late consolation for Caersws as Rhys Hesden lobbed Gresford goalkeeper Lewis Dutton,

Guilsfield 2-1 Holywell Town

Guilsfield opened the scoring after just 11 minutes as Joe Haycock fired into the top corner, while Iwan Matthews doubled the advantage early in the second half.
Holywell pulled a goal back in the 75th minute as Jake Cooke headed home from Ilan ap Gareth’s free-kick, but the visitors could not find a late equaliser.

Llandudno 2-3 Buckley Town

Llandudno’s four-match winning run was ended by Buckley at the Go Goodwins Stadium.
Mark Cadwallader got on the end of Ben Maher’s free-kick to put Llandudno ahead after nine minutes, but Adam Smith’s superb strike from distance levelled the contest in the 34th before Connor Littler completed the turnaround early in the second half by poking home after pinball in the box.
A stunning solo effort from Max Moore extended the Bucks’ advantage with 11 minutes remaining, while a stoppage time goal from Llandudno captain Anthony Stephens was not enough to save the hosts.

Llay Welfare 3-2 Prestatyn Town

Llay earned only their third league win of the season as they triumphed at home over Prestatyn.
Both sides are already relegated, but it was an entertaining affair at The Ring with four goals in the opening 24 minutes.
Jonathan Collo capitalised on a Prestatyn defensive mix up to put Llay ahead in the 11th minute, but Macauley Taylor flicked home Rob Hughes’ free-kick before Hughes scored direct from a corner to turn the game around in the space of five minutes. A frantic spell was complete soon after as Collo netted his second to equalise.
The match settled down but Llay’s winner arrived with eight minutes remaining, as Harvey Ellis set up teenager Harry Cartwright to score his first goal for the club.

Mold Alexandra 6-1 Bangor 1876

A sixth successive defeat for Bangor 1876 leaves them still in the relegation mire.
Remarkably, five of Mold’s goals came in a blistering 16-minute spell in the first half. After Fabrizio Murtas had opened the scoring with a strike from the edge of the box on the half hour, Cynan Edwards scored his first two goals for the club.
Owen Cordiner added his name to the scoresheet soon after as he headed home from Josh Watkins’ cross, before the forward scored from the penalty spot in first half stoppage time after he had been fouled in the box.
Emmanuel Lawal got Mold’s sixth early in the second half when he turned in Cordiner’s cross, while Dion Jones – one of three players brought on by Bangor at half-time – grabbed a consolation goal for the visitors.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28

Airbus UK 7-0 Ruthin Town

Seven heaven for Airbus, who kept up the pressure on leaders Bay with a ruthless rout of Ruthin.
It was goalless until the 35th minute when Kaiden Cooke struck a remarkable effort from the byline which found the top corner.
George Peers doubled the lead three minutes later as he received Danny Warren’s ball over the top before rounding Ruthin goalkeeper Dan Goldston.
Peers would complete his hat-trick – his third of the season – with two goals in as many minutes just before the hour. After his effort from the edge of the box went in off the post, he tapped in Warren’s cross at the back post.
The roles were reversed two minutes later as Peers set up Warren to slot in. Warren was the provider again in the 75th minute as he played in Cooke to finish past Goldston. Warren completed the scoring with his second of the night four minutes later.

Colwyn Bay 1-0 Denbigh Town

Colwyn Bay continue to lead the JD Cymru North with two games remaining following a 1-0 home win over Denbigh Town.
The decisive moment at the Four Crosses Construction Arena came just after the half hour when Lewis Sirrell’s long pass found Ethan Roberts down the left and he cut the ball back for Dan Atkins to score his fourth goal in three matches.
