It is as you were at the JD Cymru North summit after Friday night’s matches.
Second-place Airbus UK Broughton romped to a 7-0 triumph over relegation-threatened Ruthin Town, while leaders Colwyn Bay were involved in a much closer 1-0 success against Denbigh Town.
Bay still have the upper hand – four points clear of Airbus who have a game in hand.
If the Seagulls win their final two matches they are champions – simple as.
However, if Michael Wilde’s men drop points against either Llandudno or Penrhyncoch, then the Wingmakers could nick the prize.
The next instalment of the title race takes place on Tuesday, April 1, when Airbus host Penrhyncoch. A win for Mark Allen’s team would edge them to within a point of Bay with two games apiece left.
Airbus were rampant on Friday night against a Ruthin outfit now looking like favourites to become the third club relegated from the Cymru North.
The Wingmakers were just two goals up at half time courtesy of a pair of strikes in three minutes via Kaiden Cooke and George Peers.
The hosts ran riot in the second half, Peers striking twice by the hour for his hat-trick, putting him on 25 goals for the campaign, including 20 in Cymru North.
League top scorer Danny Warren added a double to reach 23 goals and Cooke also completed a brace before the end.
Airbus’ victory now gives them a handy goal difference lead over Colwyn Bay, which could prove crucial if they both finish level on points.
Dan Atkins scored the only goal on 32 minutes to seal three-hard earned points for the Bay in front of a big Friday night crowd of 824 at the Four Crosses Construction Arena.
The deciding goal came when a long ball from Lewis Sirrell found Ethan Roberts on the left and he cut inside to set up the chance for Atkins to fire past Denbigh keeper Elijah Beattie.
Earlier, Bay’s Tommy Creamer and Craig Lindfield hit efforts over the bar, and Atkins volleyed just wide from 25 yards.
Denbigh finished the half strongly, Owen Davies not missing by much,
In the second half Alfie Vaughan dispossessed a Bay defender and drove forward before lashing beyond the bar and Bay keeper Rhys Williams had to save well when Davies cut in from the left and got in a dangerous shot.
Colwyn Bay retaliated with Jamie Cumming heading just over and Atkins bringing a good save out of Beattie with an overhead kick.
In a nervy ending keeper Beattie came up for a late Denbigh corner, but Bay managed to clear and hold onto the three points.
