MATCH REPORTS – FEBRUARY 22
ARDAL NORTH WEST

Connah’s Quay Town 0 CPD Rhyl 1879 3

Rhyl 1879 can move 11 points clear at the Ardal North West summit if they win at Corwen in this Saturday’s latest league test for Paul Moore’s side.
The Lilywhites made it 14 matches unbeaten and stretched their lead to eight points last Saturday with an impressive 3-0 success at Connah’s Quay Town.
Quay came into the match in less favourable form, having picked up only two points in 2025. Former Town players Sam Reynolds and Lewis Hodson faced their old team in an 1879 shirt.
The hosts started well, Chad Shelbourne letting fly from distance and forcing Adam Reid into a full-stretch save.
Rhyl responded well with Reynolds making an incisive run down the flank before cutting back to Paul Fleming, whose curling effort narrowly missed the far post.
The deadlock was broken in the 15th minute when Billy Holmes fired low and hard past Ellis Jones for the opener.
And 1879 doubled their lead just three minutes later through a well-constructed move. Jason Foulkes’ shot on goal was met by Dylan Proctor, who reacted quickly to turn the ball home and put Rhyl in firm control.
Reynolds’ powerful effort rattled the woodwork before Hodson drove forward from midfield and delivered a precise lofted pass over the defence.
Dylan Proctor controlled well, beat his marker and managed to squeeze his shot past the keeper for his 24th goal of the season and 21st in 17 league matches.
The second half saw both teams struggle to create clear chances, the best falling to substitute Jonny Bravo, whose first-time effort was well-struck, but the Town keeper produced a sharp save.
Conwy Borough 0 NFA FC 6
Six of the best on the road for NFA, Oliver Hansen (2), Kai Davies, Owen Herbert, Rhys Lloyd and sub Frankie Davies sharing the goals.
Menai Bridge Tigers 1 Porthmadog 1
Port lost further ground in the title race after dropping two points at next-to-bottom Menai Bridge.
After a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead on 71 minutes through former Port player Jamie McDaid, Kurt Hellfeld with the assist.
Jamie Jones rescued a point for the visitors with a 77th minute equaliser.
CPD Pwllheli 0 Llangefni Town 1
Aron Hughes-Jones notched an 88th minute decider for Llangefni at The Rec.
St Asaph City 2 Nantlle Vale 2
Saints fought back from two-down to salvage a draw against Nantlle Vale.
Zac Pike’s double, goals on 7 and 18 minutes, put the travellers in command at half time.
Josh Brown replied on 53 before Jake Walker bagged an 85th minute leveller.
CPD Y Felinheli 1 Holyhead Hotspur 0
Another fantastic result for Felinheli at the expense of one of the league’s strongest sides.
Rhys Parry scooped the 71st-minute winner, captain Aled Griffith with the assist.

Fine win for the Daffs sealed by goals from Gareth Owen (2), Mason Jones, Tyler Mallett and George Clarke, William Cooke and Jake Hayward with the away responses.
Llansantffraid 1 Builth Wells 2
Builth fell behind on 33 minutes, but an Adam Farmer penalty levelled matters before half time and Aeron Powell nabbed the winner for the visitors soon after the restart.
Penycae 4 Dolgellau Athletic 1
Superb result for Penycae against title hopefuls Dolgellau, Joshua Mazzarella (2), Zac Davies and Callum Smith splitting the home goals, Ioan Roberts for the well-beaten visitors.
Dol finished up with nine men after Paul Lewis was red-carded on 32 minutes and Edward Powl-Jones suffered the same punishment after 59.
