Llandudno Reserves lost their season-long unbeaten league record on Sunday when Llanuwchllyn Reserves produced an amazing comeback to win 3-2 at the Go Goodwins Stadium.
It was a first defeat in 16 matches for FAW Reserve League North West leaders Tudno.
Goals from Harry Dodwell and Bryn Williams put the Seasiders 2-0 up at half time.
However, Llanuwchllyn were far from finished. Cynan Roberts made it 2-1 on 49 minutes before sub Owain Rhys Williams took centre stage.
The 40-year-old Williams, who reached 200 career goals recently, struck on 73 and 80 minutes to win the game for his team.
Speaking on his Facebook account after the match, Owain (pictured at the top of this article) wrote: “What a comeback! What a win!”
Sunday’s result means only Rhos United and Penmaenmawr Phoenix are now unbeaten in league matches throughout 2024-25 in the North Wales senior pyramid.
North Wales Coast East Division One leaders Rhos made it 18 without loss on Saturday with a 5-0 win over Henllan.
Phoenix, title contenders in the North Wales Coast East Premier, are 16 undefeated after beating Llandyrnog United 8-0 on Saturday.
