FAW Reserve League North West – Hotspur edge a thriller, Holywell remain top and unbeaten

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH WEST REPORTS – NOVEMBER 27

Holyhead Hotspur Reserves 4 Denbigh Town Reserves 3

Callum Moore’s 89th minute winner settled a seven-goal cracker in Hotspur’s favour.
Robert Thomas gave the Holy Islanders a seventh-minute lead, but Harry Lea soon equalised and James Thomas made it 2-1 to Denbigh before the quarter-hour.
Robert Thomas struck again after half-an-hour to make it 2-2 at the interval.
James Thomas put Denbigh in front again on 64 minutes, but Joshua Evans levelled it after 80 and then Moore sealed it on 89.

Llanrwst United Reserves 1 Holywell Town Reserves 2

Two first half goals secured the points for Holywell, who remain unbeaten at the summit after 12 games.
Ashley Davies, on three minutes, and a rocket from Aidan Bell after 26 put the Wellmen two-up at the interval.
Aron Hughes pulled one back from the penalty spot for Llanrwst on 73 minutes.

St Asaph City Reserves 0 Ruthin Town Reserves 5

All five goals came in the second half for second-place Ruthin against the bottom side.
A brace apiece by Dan Dolben and Josh Jones and an Alun Vaughan single made it a good day for Jamie Hulse’s team.

Llandudno Under-23’s 1 Bala Town 3

Will Hughes (2, 1 pen) and Ben Roberts led Bala to a fine win at Maesdu Park, Dion Wyn Lloyd responding for the hosts.
