FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH EAST REPORTS – FEBRUARY 7 & 8

Connah’s Quay Nomads Under-18s 3 Gresford Athletic Reserves 2

Michael Kedman scored and added to goals from Josh Mather and Jack Waterhouse as Nomads secured a 3-2 win over Gresford on Friday night.

Taylor Williams and captain Robert Reynolds both notched late replies for Gresford, but the hosts held on for the spoils.

Denbigh Town Reserves 1 Flint Mountain Reserves 4

Hat-trick star Charlie Cottis guided leaders Mountain to a 4-1 success at Central Park.

Cottis’ treble included a penalty, while sub Dylan Owens added a fourth for the table-toppers, Tomos Salisbury with Denbigh’s reply.

Holywell Town Development 1 Prestatyn Town Reserves 0

Caelan McGovern’s eighth-minute goal was enough to clinch Holywell the three points.

NFA Under-21s 0 Llay Welfare Reserves 2

Two goals four minutes apart towards the midway point of the second half sealed the honours for Llay, Tom Wells and Alfie Guest the scorers.

NFA had Curtis Cook red-carded on the 90-mark.

St Asaph Reserves 0 Ruthin Town Reserves 2

Meilir Williams and Leo Jones delivered the second half goals which won the day for Ruthin.

Saints had Daniel Wallis dismissed for a second yellow on 83.

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH WEST

Dolgellau AA Reserves 1 Llanrwst United Reserves 1

Rhys Taylor-Clarke gave Dolgellau a 53rd minute lead at Cae Marian, but Alexander Raloka’s 76th minute reply rescued a point for the Rwsters.

Llanuwchllyn Reserves 1 Colwyn Bay Under-19s 2

Leaders Bay made it five straight league wins and 10 matches without defeat at the expense of Llanuwchllyn.

Thomas Vaughan and skipper Nikola Georgiev delivered the decisive goals for the Seagulls, Efan Lloyd-Davies having pulled Llan level on the half-hour before the visitors grabbed the crucial lead before half time.

Colwyn Bay Under-19s 2 Llanrwst United Reserves 0

Max McGoona and Owen Thomas bagged the goals which put Bay into the next round of the cup.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH EAST

Mold Alexandra Reserves 4 St Asaph Reserves 1

Joe Connolly netted all four goals in this victory for Mold.

The 18-year-old struck on 11, 56, 67 and 83 minutes for the winning side, Noah Spindler with a solitary response for Saints.

Ruthin Town Reserves 3 Airbus UK Broughton Reserves 4

Sub and hat-trick hero Harvey Greig plundered a 96th minute decider for Airbus in a seven-goal cracker which saw the visitors fight back from three-down to seal a dramatic triumph.

Greig, 19, who came on for the second half, found the net on 57, 68 and six minutes into added time for the Wingmakers, Franciszek Sadczuk their other marksman after 81.

All this after goals from Teifi Williams, Haydn Rutter and Sean Kell handed the hosts a 3-0 interval lead.

Dolgellau AA Reserves 0 Colwyn Bay Under-19s 5

Sixteen-year-old Sam Parry was a hat-trick hero for Bay in an emphatic win at Cae Marian.

Captain Nikola Georgiev and Max McGoona also struck for the Seagulls.

Llanuwchllyn Reserves 0 Llandudno Reserves 0

Nothing to separate the second and third placed sides in this one.
