Dolgellau won a thriller on Wednesday

REPORTS FROM DIVISION ONE AND DIVISION TWO – JAN 28 AND 29 (WEEK 13)

Walis Bryncoch claimed top spot in Division One of the Hogan Cynghrair Pêl-Rwyd Gwynedd a Môn: Gaeaf 2024-25/Gwynedd & Anglesey Netball League: Winter 2024-25 with a commanding 36-16 win against Pwllheli Panthers last night (Wednesday, January 29).

Second-place Menai Mavericks, not in action yesterday, are now two points behind Bryncoch but have a game in hand.

Arfon Ladies, in third spot, kept in the title picture with a hard-fought 32-25 success over Tim o Walis. The sides were level at 15-15 come half time.

In the game of the night, Rebals TC edged a 22-21 verdict over Dyffryn Ladies.

Dyffryn were 15-10 ahead at the midway stage and led 18-15 entering the last, but Rebals pulled out a big final-quarter display, winning it 7-3 to take the match by a single goal.

Dolgellau beat Fflamau TC 27-24 in another close one.

At the end of the first three quarters, Fflamau led 10-6, 16-11 and 19-18, but just like Rebals, Dolgellau saved the best till last, taking the final session 9-5 to win the game.

Steph Owen was an outstanding performer for Dolgellau.

DIVISION TWO

Genod Walis and Pwllheli Pumas are tied at the top on 45 points from the same number of games played.

On Tuesday evening, Pumas comfortably defeated Blaenau Ffestiniog 35-17, Cleo Hookes excelling for the winners and Mel Roberts for the losing side.

Walis Warriars impressively triumphed 31-21 against Porthmadog Dyffryn Ladies, Erin Roberts a standout for the victorious team.

Walis Midffild dished out a heavy 45-13 beating on Bethesda Bach, for whom Hollie Jones shone on the night.

Thunderjags outscored bottom side Pwllheli Dreigiau Dre 36-9, Megan Evans catching the eye for the losing team.
