Wednesday football: Felinheli denied win by late Llandudno penalty, Meilir treble in Llanuwchllyn victory

GENERO ADRAN NORTH
Llandudno 1 (Dutton pen 90+9)
CPD Y Felinheli 1 (Fflur Williams 20)
Llandudno needed a 99th minute penalty from Jasmin Dutton to salvage a point from Wednesday’s clash with Felinheli at Go Goodwins Stadium.
Dutton made amends after missing a first half spot-kick, clattering the bar after 14 minutes.
And the champions paid the price when Felin took a 20th minute lead through former Tudno striker Fflur Williams.

Jordanne Greenough played a free kick to just outside the box, Jody Cain looped the ball on and Williams, daughter of Bro Cernyw all-time goalscoring legend Euryn, fired into the bottom corner.
There were plenty of chances for Llandudno after that, but the ball would not go in until a second pen was awarded for an alleged foul deep into added time and this time Dutton took the chance.
Tudno now trail leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads by five points having played the same number of games.

Williams moved up to 31 goals from 22 matches – including 20 in the league – with his fifth treble of the campaign.
A Williams double inside 20 minutes put Llan in command and Gwydion Roberts added a third before half time, Llangollen replying through William Cooke.
In the latter stages of the second half, Williams notched his third before Tomos Roberts and sub Michael Pritchard added to the scoresheet.
