It’s been a busy transfer window for Mold Alexandra so far….

Few clubs have been as busy in the January transfer window as Mold Alexandra.
Barry Owen’s side have started the season well, but are not resting on their laurels and decided a few new faces will give them fresh momentum for 2025.
Here’s a rundown on the fresh recruits…..
Lucas Gregson (from Connah’s Quay Nomads on loan)

Nineteen-year-old defender is a welcome addition at Alyn Park for the rest of the season.
He arrives on loan from Connah’s Quay Nomads, having been with Colwyn Bay on a temporary deal since August, making six appearances.
Lucas emerged through the ranks at Llandudno, playing for the Academy and Development sides and featuring in first team squads before joining Nomads in 2023/24, where he became a regular in their strong under-18 team.
Cynan Edwards (from Glan Conwy)
Versatile and energetic midfielder who signs for Alex from Glan Conwy, whom he joined in January 2024 and made 23 appearances, scoring six goals.
Before that, he was at Llanrwst United, where he worked under current Mold boss Barry Owen and played in excess of 100 first team games.
During his time with the Rwsters, he also turned out for the Llandudno Under-19 side.
Callum Mannion (from Cefn Albion)

Lively striker who can play anywhere across the forward line.
Mannion, 27, is best known for his two spells with tier 3 club Cefn Albion, where he had made 99 first team appearances and scored 44 goals since the 2019-20 season.
Between January and April 2024, he also had a stint with Cymru North club Gresford Athletic, featuring in 14 matches.
Josh Watkin (from Gresford Athletic)

Watkin returns to Mold after spending the first half of this season at Gresford Athletic.
Aged 20, he was 2023-24 Young Player and Players Player of the Year at the Alex.
Josh is a product of the Connah’s Quay Nomads youth system and also made some first team appearances before switching to Mold in February 2023.
He has made in the region of 50 first team appearances, featuring in the Mold squads which won both the Welsh Blood Service Northern and National League Cup competitions last season.
Joe Connolly (from Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Left-footed goal-getter who can operate up front or on the wing.
Has impressed during spells with Connah’s Quay Nomads and The New Saints development sides over the past couple of seasons. Scored 12 goals in 26 games for Nomads U18s.
Still only 18, looks a great prospect.
And finally……
Mold Alex have also announced Harvey Drazdaukas and Ben Farley have returned from their loan spells at St Asaph City and Cefn Albion.
