Josh Lock (The New Saints to Caernarfon Town – loan)

Caernarfon Town have signed the versatile Josh Lock on loan from The New Saints for the rest of the season.
Although a permanent with TNS throughout his senior career, the 21-year-old has gained plenty of game experience through regular spells at other clubs.
In 2021-22, he made 13 appearances for Ardal North West club Rhostyllen before rejoining TNS and making his first team debut before the end of the season.
After starting 2022-23 at Park Hall, featuring in the first team and development squads, Lock temporarily joined Cymru North club Cefn Druids, where he impressed with eight goals in 15 outings.
January 2023 brought a return to Saints where Lock was on fire for the rest of the campaign, netting 11 times in 10 games for the development side.
The young talent was on the move again at the start of 2023-24, switching to Cymru North side Denbigh Town and scoring a hat-trick in just his second game, a 6-2 victory at Buckley Town in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup.
Lock netted 15 goals in 29 appearances in an impressive stint with Dewi Llion’s tier 2 team which was rounded off by him winning the Cymru North Young Player of the Season award.
The midfielder/attacker stepped up to the Cymru Premier this season, joining Newtown, where he has played in 18 matches and netted four times.
Now comes a latest loan move to Caernarfon, against whom he played and scored for Newtown in a 2-1 victory at the Carling Oval in October, but also figured for the Robins in a 4-0 league defeat and penalties Nathaniel MG Cup exit to the Canaries.
Ben Hughes (Swansea City to Caernarfon Town – loan)

Caernarfon will be hoping new loan signing Ben Hughes becomes the latest in a long line of impressive goalkeepers who have shone in temporary spells at the Carling Oval over recent seasons.
Josh Tibbetts, Lewis Webb, Jakub Ojrzynski, Lewis Brass and most recent departee Stephen McMullan have all made a name for themselves with the Canaries at various stages of the past five campaigns.
Now Hughes has joined Town on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Hughes has been with Swansea City since the summer of 2021, having joined from Chippenham Town, and is a Wales youth international in football and futsal.
He signed a first professional deal in 2022 and has featured for the club’s under-18 and under-21 sides.
Matty Senior (Flint Mountain to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s latest signing is Matty Senior, a highly talented and accomplished defender whose journey through football has seen him excel at both club and international levels.
Senior, 19, began his footballing career at the tender age of five with Kinmel Bay.
Starting at Rhyl Academy as an Under-7, his talent quickly caught the eye, leading to spells at Connah’s Quay Nomads (U11), Bury FC (U12) and Crewe Alexandra (U14).
At Crewe, Senior flourished, progressing through their youth system and into the U21s at the age of 16 before making his professional debut in November 2023.
Alongside his club success, Senior represented Wales from U15s level and was part of the U17s squad that competed in the European Championships in Slovenia in 2022.
This season he has been at Cymru North newcomers Flint Mountain.
Upon joining 1879, Senior said: “The move will help me develop as a player and get some much needed and wanted minutes. I’m looking forward to being a big part of hopefully a successful season and gaining promotion.”
Nathan Lavender (Penyffordd Lions to Prestatyn Town)

Experienced defender Lavender has joined Prestatyn Town’s fight to remain in the Cymru North.
The 36-year-old has spent the past two seasons in tier 4 with Penyffordd Lions of the North East Wales League Premier Division, where he also played his football in previous campaigns.
Prior to his latest stay with the Lions, he represented Chirk AAA in the Cymru North and Ardal North East and also had a previous spell with Mold Alexandra.
Prestatyn Town manager Gareth Thomas said: “Delighted to finally sign Lavo having previously tried to sign him a couple of times when at other clubs. Lavo is fit, quick and a good footballer who is looking forward to joining the club.”
Macauley Taylor (Holywell Town to Prestatyn Town – loan)

Lively attacker with electric pace and skill who has previously starred for Prestatyn Town in the Cymru North.
He was a member of the Seasiders’ squad which won the tier 2 title in 2019-20 before moving on to Rhyl 1879.
From the start of 2021-22, Taylor scored 31 goals in 67 appearances for 1879, helping them win the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division and Cookson Cup double in their debut season,
Taylor left 1879 and rejoined Prestatyn in January 2024, helping them stay in the Cymru North, and began the current campaign at Bastion Gardens before joining Holywell Town at the end of August, making 17 appearances for the Wellmen, all but one from the subs bench, and scoring two goals.

Holywell Town said today: “Macaukey Taylor has agreed to a loan deal which sees him remain at Prestatyn Town for the remainder of the season.
“The agreement includes that Macca will continue to train with Holywell and stipulates that he can’t play league or cup fixtures against Holywell Town.
“Macca has the desire to be a regular starter for Holywell, but for now wants minutes under his belt and until the end of the season.”
