Women’s football reports – Sunday, December 15

Genero Adran Premier

Wrexham 4 Barry Town United 3

Liv Fuller’s last minute winner earned Wrexham a thrilling 4-3 victory over Barry at The Rock, in their final game of 2024.
Phoebe Davies netted her first-ever Wrexham league goal since the club’s reformation in 2018, but Erin Murray levelled just two minutes into the second half.
Goals from Fuller and Ava Suckley followed, but the visitors managed to get their way back into the game through Amy Long and Ellie Preece and looked destined to claim a point
Just as time seemed to run out, Fuller managed to find the breakthrough, securing a vital three points with her eighth goal of the season.

Genero Adran North

Connah’s Quay Nomads 4 CPDM Bangor 0

Prolific Polly Wild-McGregor

Polly Wild McGregor was a hat-trick hero as Nomads made it six straight league wins to enjoy a six-point lead at the summit entering 2025.
Wild-McGregor is now Adran North top scorer on 10 league goals and has 18 in all competitions this season following her third hat-trick of the campaign.
Bangor defended well for nearly all the first half until Wild-McGregor applied a back-post finish to break the deadlock two minutes over the 45.
Captain Wild-McGregor doubled the lead on 54 with a sweetly-struck free kick.
And two minutes later it was 3-0, Wild-McGregor taking on a Meg Andrews pass and burying into the bottom corner to complete a second treble against Bangor this season.
Sub Anais Bathily made it four on 69 minutes, Phoebe Ellis with the assist.

CPDM Y Felinheli 2 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 1

Felinheli recovered from being a goal behind to beat Rhyl with a 90th minute decider from 16-year-old prospect Elsi Williams.
The visitors broke through very early when Rosie O’Brien found the net, Sade Benjamin with the assist.
Felin were behind until the 63rd minute when new signing from Llangefni Town, Ffion Thomas, was involved before Katie Midwinter fired home.
Midwinter was red-carded on 76 minutes for allegedly kicking out and the balance swayed towards 1879, but right on the 90 Jordanne Greenough’s free kick from the left was headed home at the back post by Elsi Williams for 2-1.

Llanfair United 4 Flint Town United 3

Rosie Hughes

Despite a strong second-half comeback to be just 4-3 down after tailing 4-1 at the break, Flint went home pointless from Powys.
The Silkwomen had beaten Llanfair 4-3 back in September in a Genero Adran Trophy tie, but on Sunday at Mount Fiekd the fortunes were reversed.
Much-improved Llanfair went two-up through goals from Paris Schofield (penalty) and Millie Evans before Shona Roberts hit back on 26 minutes with her first goal for the club, Taylia Chaloner assisting.
However, Harriet Davies struck twice before half time to put United in command.
Flint rallied after the break, Kaelyn Williams netting their second goal before Rosie Hughes made it 4-3 on 80, Zoe Stopford with the assist.
The equaliser would not quite come for the visitors, who remain in fourth place.

NFA 0 Llandudno 6

Maddie Williams

Llandudno made it six wins out of six in meetings with NFA in which the Seasiders havre scored a total of 44 goals and conceded just five.
Today saw the champions prove much too strong, taking a ninth-minute lead through Sioned Phillips, Rebecca Jarvis-Evans with the assist.
Maddie Williams and Kelsey Davies struck after 20 and 42 respectively to make it 3-0 at the interval. Assists were provided by Davies and Jasmin Dutton.
Maddie Williams notched her second of the game after 58 – also her seventh of the season.
Jarvis-Evans made it 5-0 on 70 before a minute later Caitlin Hadaway was shown a red-card against her former club.
This did not affect 10-player Llandudno’s control of the game and they added a sixth on 80 via a Dutton penalty.

Amlwch Town 3 Caernarfon Town 2

Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts scored twice as Amlwch edged a tight verdict over the Cofis.
Caernarfon grabbed a second-minute lead when Lisa Jones found the net from a Llinos Hughes assist.
Emma Roberts equalised on 10 minutes and then set up Cerys Gadd to make it 2-1 Amlwch in first half added time.
Roberts struck again on 68 to put the Anglesey side 3-1 ahead, but Caernarfon kept battling and Elan Evans pulled one back before the end.

CPDM Llanystumdwy 2 CPD Pwllheli 2

Two very late goals from Pwllheli earned them a draw at on-form Llanystumdwy.
The hosts, beaten just once in their previous 10 games and that was versus Adran Premier side Wrexham in the Welsh Cup, took the lead 10 minutes into the second half through captain Tash Matthews.
When Matthews added a second on 64, a surprise was on the cards, with champions Pwllheli unbeaten in the league all season.
However, two of the team’s most experienced players scored a goal each in the closing stages to salvage a point.
Sub Sioned Bohana netted a minute into stoppage time and Sara Williams made it 2-2 with 95 on the clock.
Pwllheli also missed a penalty through Lois Thomas.
