Friday reports: Connor Owen hat-trick for Gwalch puts him near major landmark; Llandudno and Connah’s Quay Town celebrate victories

NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE

Premier Division

CPD Llanystumdwy 3 Gwalchmai 5
Connor Owen’s hat-trick for third-place Gwalchmai took him to 99 club goals for the Anglesey side.
Owen made it 19 goals for this season – 11 in the league – by netting after 20, 50 and 54 minutes at Treborth Playing Fields.
Andy Sinclair struck after 10 minutes for Gwalch and Cian Owen scored on 38.
Stuart Rogers and Arwyn Jones were on target for Llanystumdwy in the first half, the visitors leading 3-2 at the turnaround.
Llan were 5-2 down before Owen Pritchard notched a consolation to round off the scoring.

JD CYMRU NORTH

Ruthin Town 0 Llandudno 2
A third straight league win for Llandudno lifted them up to eighth place in the Cymru North.
However, it was a grim night for a Ruthin outfit which has lost five successive games where they have scored just a single goal and conceded 14.
The Vale of Clwyd side are fourth from bottom.
Mark Cadwallader was the Tudno hero, breaking the deadlock in first half injury time before doubling his and the team’s tally on 63 minutes, putting him on 10 goals for the season.

Connah’s Quay Town 2 Corwen 1
After three consecutive league defeats Connah’s Quay Town bounced back with a home win which lifted them into fourth place.
Star of the show for Town was the evergreen Jamie Reed, who netted on 19 minutes from a Pascal Gomez assist, before the 37-year-old former Bangor City, Rhyl and York City striker added his second from the penalty spot in first half added time.
In between, Sam Henry pocketed a 31st minute equaliser for Corwen, who were undefeated in seven league outings before running into the Deesiders.
Town’s Kyle Reid was shown a red card on 77 minutes.

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH EAST

An eight-goal cracker at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium finished honours even.
Goals from James Allen and Jay Hughes on 19 and 26 respectively, gave the Wingmakers a promising 2-0 lead, but Rob Reynolds and Sam Bryan found the net to bring Athletic level by half time.
After the interval, Alex Cooper and sub James Reynolds put the visitors 4-2 up, but an 82nd minute penalty for Dan Semple and an equaliser on 90 from Ben Williams ensured a share of the points.

Flint Mountain Reserves 4 Buckley Town Reserves 3
Mountain went top of the table after an 85th minute James Dunseath decider clinched a hard-fought win over Buckley.
Both sides fielded quality line-ups, Dunseath handing the hosts a 13th minute lead, before Max Moore levelled on 31. Jack Sconce put Flint 2-1 up on 39, only for Bradley Knight to equalise after 43.
Ben Richards made it 3-2 Mountain with 49 gone, an Aaron Simpson own goal restored parity on 80, but Dunseath pounced for the winner.

NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Bellevue 1 CPD Yr Wyddgrug 8
Lewis James and Gethin Thomas both bagged hat-tricks for Yr Wyddgrug at Ysgol Rhosnesni, Leon Sumner adding a double.
Corren Bagnall notched a consolation for Bellevue from the penalty spot.

Cefn Druids 2 Overton Recreational 2
All-square at The Rock where a Chad Humphreys own goal handed Overton a 22nd minute lead.
Jamie Roberts equalised for Druids on 40, but Owen Platt restored the Rec’s advantage on the stroke of the interval.
Sub Mikey Bagnall’s effort rescued a point for the hosts.
