Big news: CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s Belle Vue stadium adopts a new name

Belle Vue Stadium is adopting a new name

CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s famous Belle Vue Stadium is to take on a new name.

The Grange Road ground is to become the Hops & Barley Community Stadium after the Ardal North West club agreed a sponsorship deal with a business of that name.

Hops & Barley is a family-run business established in 1989 that delivers beers, wines, and spirits to communities across the UK.

Building on the legacy of former club Rhyl FC’s partnerships, such as the Corbett Sports Stadium and the Educate Stadium. CPD Y Rhyl 1879 says it is proud to take this significant step with Hops & Barley.

“This partnership aligns our club with a company that shares our vision for both community, quality and success, enhancing the match-day experience and creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for everyone,” the club published on its website.

“The Hops & Barley Community Stadium stands for more than just a name change; it’s a commitment to our local community, fostering pride, and paving the way for an exciting future. Together, we are setting the stage for continued growth and success on and off the pitch.”

Tom Jamieson, Chair of CPD Y Rhyl 1879, expressed his enthusiasm: “This partnership with Hops & Barley is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our commitment to the Rhyl community. The support from Hops & Barley is invaluable as we aim to make the Hops & Barley Community Stadium a place for everyone to gather, celebrate, and support local football and other community activities.

We look forward to a successful journey together as we build a lasting legacy for future generations.”

Stephen Williams, Sales Director at Hops & Barley, added: “We are proud to support CPD Y Rhyl 1879 and to play a role in enhancing the community experience at Belle Vue. Partnering with a club so deeply rooted in the local community aligns perfectly with our values at Hops & Barley.

We’re excited to see the Hops & Barley Community Stadium become a hub of energy, pride, and success for Rhyl and beyond.”

  • CPD Y Rhyl 1879 announced in October it can finally call their famous stadium ‘home’ after revealing it had officially purchased Belle Vue.
