Who is the leading goalscorer in Anglesey senior football for 2024-25 so far?

We are into the 13th season of a competition which celebrates the top scorer in Anglesey senior football.

The Bob Brodie Trophy has been competed for since 2011-12 with illustrious winners including Corrig McGonigle, Marc Evans, Mel McGinness and, the current holder and all-time North Wales record goalscorer Asa Thomas.

The competition proudly bears the name of Bob, a popular former player and manager on Anglesey, who sadly passed away in 2011, aged just 62.

This season’s BBT is proving a little unusual. Most seasons there is a runaway leader, but what we have so far after four months of 2024-25 is a large bunch of net-finders in close proximity.

Leading the way at present is Trearddur Bay Development striker Cameron Buckley on 17 goals, closely followed by Cemaes Bay hitman Luke McGivern (14), while tied for third place with 13 are Holyhead Hotspur’s Cory Williams, Connor Owen of Gwalchmai and Calum Thomas, a young and highly-rated prospect of CPD Gaerwen.

This is the first chart we have published in 2024-25, but we will keep you updated more regularly from now on.
