Ozlu makes a storming return to old haunt Bricky

What a player – Haci Ozlu

Dazzler Haci Ozlu marked his return to Brickfield Rangers in fantastic style at the weekend with a hat-trick in his team’s 3-0 victory over Rhos Aelwyd in Ardal North East.

Ozlu, 23, last week left Cymru North club Gresford Athletic to rejoin Rangers, who he last represented in 2021-22.

The winger had signed for Gresford from Mold Alexandra at the start of the 2023/24 season.

During his time with the Colliers, he made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists, also being named the 2023/24 Gerry Evans First Team Top Goalscorer of the Season.

He was also named Gresford Athletic Man of the Match 10 times, alongside earning two Player of the Month awards.

Back in the 2021-22 campaign, Ozlu scored an outstanding 21 goals in 22 appearances for Bricky.

That stunning form earned him a move to Cymru North newcomers Mold, where he initially featured in six matches and scored once before joining fellow tier 2 club Holywell Town in September 2022.

Ozlu played in 11 games for the Wellmen, netting one goal, before returning to Mold in January 2023, finding the net three times in 11 outings.

After playing just a single game for Mold at the start of 2023-24, Ozlu switched to Gresford Athletic, scoring on his debut in a 3-0 Nathaniel MG Cup success at Bangor 1876.

Following a successful spell at Athletic, he has now dropped to tier 3 with Brickfield, where he has already picked up where he left off in 2021-22.
