How are our Dynamic Dozen for 2024-25 getting on so far?

Richard Hillier-Evans is having a fine season between the posts for Tier 5 title-hopefuls Rhos United

Earlier in the season, we chose 12 players to watch in North Wales senior football during 2024-25.

Let’s do a progress check on our selections…..

James Stevens (CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Proving to be a dazzling talent, great to watch on the ball and always a danger operating on the right.

Has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Rhyl so far, scoring twice with five assists.

At the age of 19, has so much potential and the skill to excite crowds wherever he plays.

Mason Blackwell-Jones (Bangor 1876)

One of the players of the season so far.

With seven goals in 11 Cymru North games, he is the joint fourth highest scorer in the Tier 2 league.

Such a good fit at Bangor 1876, where he is a big crowd favourite, Mason’s passion, skill and ability to find the net is something to behold.

Jenson Wold (Bow FC)

Eight appearances for Bow’s Development side so far, netting four goals.

Has also turned out on a couple of occasions for the first team.

Brilliant 18-year-old prospect making a great impression at an ambitious club.

Jacob Jones (Kinmel Bay)

What an amazing start to the season for this 19-year-old – 15 goals in eight games for Kinmel Bay Development, including a five, a four and a hat-trick.

Has also featured in the first team and scored in a 3-1 win over Bow.

The sky’s the limit for this youngster.

Pascal Gomez (Connah’s Quay Town)

Gambian genius has netted seven goals in 13 matches so far – four in Ardal North West and three in the FAW Amateur Trophy.

His team have made a magnificent start to life in Tier 3 and Pascal has been an immense figure in this success.

Andy Vale (Brickfield Rangers)

Another star player of 2024-25 so far with a tremendous 19 goals in 16 appearances, including eight in Ardal North East which makes him fourth-highest scorer in the Tier 3 league.

Shaping up to have his best season for a Brickfield side he has represented so well in recent years. His 30 goals mark in 2021-22 is well under threat.

Elis Williams (CPD Y Felinheli)

Picture: PATRICK CAIN

Just 18 and already 12 goals in 10 matches this season for Tier 3 club Y Felinheli.

His total so far includeshat-tricks against Conwy Borough, Nantlle Vale and Greenfield.

What a superb prospect.

Owen Herbert (NFA)

icture: RICHARD BATES

NFA have made a magical start to their debut season as a Tier 3 club and 17-year-old Owen has been outstanding for them, making 15 appearances so far including 12 sets of 90 minutes.

Creative, dynamic and a brilliant signing for an ambitious club. Owen and NFA can go places together.

Ryan Jakovlevs (Plas Madoc)

Another 17-year-old wonder teen who is balancing his season nicely between the Plas Madoc Under-19s and the first team.

His goals return has been decent, but bear in mind Plas have stepped up a level in the North East Wales League this term.

One of the league’s best young prospects without a doubt.

Noa Hughes (Bethesda Athletic)

There has been Noa-one better when it comes to getting the goals in a Bethesda shirt this season.

With 19 goals in 15 matches and top of the North Wales Coast West Premier Division chart on 12, this terrific talent who has already reached 100 club appearances will be a player to keep a keen eye out for all season.

Richard Hillier-Evans (Rhos United)

The Pink Panther has been ‘in the pink’ between the posts so far with four clean sheets in 11 appearances across all competitions and a number of top-quality displays for Rhos.

Richard joined the club at the start of this season and has been a key figure in their rise to the North Wales Coast East Division One summit.

Calum Thomas (CPD Gaerwen)

Calum (left)

Second-highest goalscorer in North Wales Coast West Division One so far on seven goals.

This gifted 17-year-old had netted nine goals in 11 matches in all competitions and was one of the stars of Gaerwen’s magnificent Welsh Cup giant-killings of Tier 3 Rhos Aelwyd and Llanfair United – amazing results for a Tier 5 side.

Grandad Ali will be very proud watching from above the No 99’s performances.
