NORTH WALES WOMEN’S LEAGUE EAST
Denbigh Town 7 Northop Hall 1
Report: Ollie Beach
Hat-tricks from Beth Kell and Catrin Davies helped ensure early table-toppers Denbigh maintained their 100 percent record in some style with a third straight victory.
Town took the lead on 10 minutes via Davies. Amber Hellon worked well down the right before a low cross found the forward who swept the ball home.
Less than a minute later Kell had her first when her effort from the edge of the box flew into the back of the net.
Three minutes later the game was practically put out of sight when Davies won the ball on the edge of the Hall box before drilling into the bottom right corner.
Denbigh missed several more chances and were disappointed to go into the break just three ahead.
Two minutes into the second half and Denbigh finally added the elusive fourth. After a half-turn, Vanessa Hodgeson fizzed the ball past the goalkeeper.
Kell was soon back in on the act when on the edge of the box she lofted the ball over the goalkeeper for a fine finish.
Not to be outdone, Davies completed her hat-trick via a Ceri Purvis assist.
Town rounded off their scoring on 69 minutes when Kell also made it a treble with a really neat finish, threading the ball through a crowd of bodies at an angle.
Northop did find consolation late on when Lily Lloyd ran through and beat the offside trap to grab one back but it was too late.
Airbus UK Broughton 4 Berriew 2
Three late goals ensured Airbus came from behind to beat Berriew at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
Laura Pratt put the Wingmakers into a seventh-minute lead, but Gemma Jones levelled for the Powys visitors after 31.
Hannah Richards made it 2-1 to Berriew on 69, but goals in the 84th and 89th minutes from Pratt brouight her a tremendous hat-trick and edged the hosts in front.
And Freya Peatfield set up 16-year-old fellow sub Ellie Vickers for Airbus’ fourth two minutes over the 90.
Coedpoeth United 0 CPD Merched Henllan 18

Beth Roberts scored a phenomenal NINE goals as Henllan rattled up 18 away to league newcomers Coedpoeth.
Roberts’ triple hat-trick put her on 21 goals for the season – and she added four assists.
Abby Cattell and Lleucu Williams both netted three apiece, Rhian Edwards scored twice and Mabli Fitzgerald added a single.
Coedpoeth are a team in the very early stages of their development and they will have many better days than this in the future.
NORTH WALES WOMEN’S LEAGUE WEST
Kinmel Bay 0 Amlwch Town 0
Defences were on top at Y Morfa, where the teams shared the points.
Millie Sergant was named player of the match for Kinmel Bay. who were frustrated in their efforts to get the three points their performance perhaps deserved.
Llangefni Town 4 Trearddur Bay 2
Former Wales and Liverpool defender Katie Davies made her debut in goal for a Trearddur side which put up a good battle at leaders Llangefni.
A Clare Head own goal from a corner on 26 minutes put Llangefni ahead, then Jess Jones doubled the lead with her 16th of the season, a really good finish.
Sub Jen Cox added a third – a messy affair from a Bay point of view – and Ceri Slaney completed the home scoring with a penalty.
Slaney later missed another penalty harshly awarded against the visitors, an incident which led to Bay’s Shelley McMullan being dismissed for a second yellow.
Trearddur hit back with goals from Jess Woods and sub Abbie Manning, who made a considerable difference when she came on.
