Prestatyn Town chairman James Benbow says the club will not be rushed into appointing a replacement for Chris Morrell, who stepped down as manager today.
Morrell resigned after just a month in charge with the Seasiders bottom of the JD Cymru North table on goal difference.
Chairman Benbow released the following statement: “As a club we are saddened to hear this afternoon that Chris Morrell wanted to leave his role at Prestatyn Town FC.
“We believed that we had found a manager that had long-term ambitions for the club, but this sadly wasn’t to be.
“We wish Chris all the best in whatever role he takes up next.
“We have already been contacted by managers and coaches who are wanting to potentially take charge. As a club we won’t be rushed into announcing a new manager.
“We will find a manager who wants long-term commitment and wants to grow the youth set-up and we still have great backroom staff who will take control for the time being.”
