A magnificent seven goals from Airbus ensured they were emphatic winners of Sunday’s derby at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

Lucie Vickers scored twice in the first half and Laura Pratt was also on the mark, captain Ffion Jones providing two assists.

Catrin Ellis made it four very early in the second half, Vickers with that assist, plus the next one for goal number five scored by Ruby Rice-Jones.

The deluge from the home side stopped until the 81st minute when Ffion Jones deservedly added her name to the scoresheet.

Rice-Jones completed the rout with 85 gone.

Airbus created enough opportunities to reach double figures, but will be more than happy with a seven-goal victory which maintains their unbeaten start to the season.

Hannah Richards (2), Katie Price, Caitlin Gorman, Ayesha Owen-Jones and Bethany Lane shared the goals in an emphatic home win for Berriew, for whom Teleri Roberts also missed a penalty.

Lois Thomas (white) was on the mark for Pwllheli

Despite leading twice, North Wales League champions Pwllheli had to be content with a draw against a Llangefni side which pushed them hardest in the West division last season.

Jini Owen Hughes, Pwll’s top scorer last term with 21, made it sevenfrom four games in 2024-25 when she netted in the very first minute from a Katie Bowe assist.

Five minutes later, Cefni were back on terms through last season’s 52-goal star Jess Jones, who turned just outside the box and fired into the top corner.

It remained 1-1 until the 62nd minute when lively Lois Thomas restored the home lead.

However, the visitors refused to fold and made it 2-2 when club record markswoman Jess Jones completed a double with her ninth goal of 2024-25, capitalising on a home defensive error.
