A much-improved Corwen gained revenge for a 4-1 defeat suffered away at the hands of Northop Hall in November.
Alaw Davies-Smith’s side celebrated a second league win of the season in Division One of the North Wales Women’s League.
The hosts started much the brighter and took a 10th minute lead through a brilliant finish from Elisa Williams.
Corwen continued to work hard, passing and moving the ball really well. Llywela Edwards extended the lead in the 17th minute through another well-worked goal.
Northop made their opponents work hard throughout the remainder of the first half, but the Corwen defence coped well with the pressure.
Both sides created plenty of chances after the break, but the score stayed at 2-0 until the 86th minute, when Zoe Williams was through on goal and added number three.
Zoe Williams scored another in the 90th minute to finish off an impressive home performance.
Sophie Hodson was player of the match for Corwen.
This was a day where Airbus really kickstarted their season as they thrashed a previously unbeaten Bethel in the Betty Pickering Cup.
Despite not having played a competitive match in 10 weeks, the Wingmakeresses were up for the challenge and produced a fine display.
The Broughton team were more clinical in the finishing department, taking their chances while Bethel failed to seize their opportunities in the first half, then faded in the second.
Katelyn Tilston and Tegan Hewitt scored two apiece for the Bus.
