Sixteen-year-old Nel Pritchard rescued a point for Llanystumdwy with an 86th minute equaliser in this Betty Pickering Cup group clash.
A great, evenly matched game saw both teams battling hard in the first half.
Kinmel Bay forced a couple of great saves from Llanystumdwy keeper Sara Lacey.
In the second half, Bay came out with grit and determination, and a lovely ball from young Lexie McEvoy came straight to Amy Chesters, who easily found the back of the net in the 49th minute.
On 54 minutes Llanystumdwy were awarded a penalty following a push in the back in the box by substitute Chloe Scanlan. A well-struck penalty by Efa Jones made it 1-1, home keeper Shelby Wild narrowly failing to reach it.
Bay turned up the pressure, but great stops from Lacey kept it at one-apiece.
With the weather throwing it down, Chesters scored a cracking second goal via an assist from Elin Jones in the 81st minute.
Minutes later a mistake by Kinmel Bay from a pass back saw the ball roll into the back of the net via young Pritchard.
