Women’s football: Draw made for group stage of 2023-24 Betty Pickering Cup

Caernarfon Town celebrate winning the Betty Pickering Cup back in 2015-16. What a fantastic squad they had back then

The Betty Pickering Cup is to be reintroduced to the North Wales Women’s Football League this season.

Four groups have been formed, with matches to be played during November and December.

All teams will face each other home and away.

At the completion of the group matches, the tournament will then advance to a knockout stage.

The Betty Pickering Cup used to be a regular feature on the North Wales League fixture list, but has not been competed for since 2019-20, when an early end to the season due to Covid meant the competition failed to reach a conclusion.

All 14 teams in the NWWFL – 7 East and 7 West – will take part in the cup this season.
