Jessica Woods marked her debut for Trearddur Bay with a tremendous winning goal in the 86th minute of a thrilling clash.
Credit was due to Bay players and management for working hard on the Lon Isallt pitch to ensure the game went ahead.
Both teams took some time finding their feet in the first half. Trearddur would feel like they were on top, defending well and controlling possession.
Caernarfon did have a good chance but home goalkeeper Katie Bolton was quick off her line and made a fine save.
Bay came out in the second half and picked up where they left off, dominating possession and creating chances.
Their patience paid off in the 49th minute when new signings Wood and Millie Turner combined. Wood hit a powerful shot which keeper Luned Wiliams saved but could not completely gather and Turner reacted quickly to fire home from close range.
Caernarfon reacted well, changing their formation and putting the pacey Lisa Jones up front. Jones found a gap and finished well to make it 1-1 on 50 minutes.
The game flowed back and forth for the next quarter hour, but Caernarfon found the net next when Trearddur thought they had cleared a corner, but the ball dropped to Jessica Lane who hit it from a distance and scored a beauty.
Bay then took control of the game. The backline of Catrin Jones, Gemma Thomas, Chloe Taylor and Lia Huws kept things tight and won their duels.
In front of them was Freya Davies, Erin Mulvey, Amelia Roberts and Turner who worked tirelessly and never stopped running, as did Woods and Shelley McMullan up top.
Goalscorer Turner then turned provider when she found captain Freya Davies, who made it 2-2 with a fantastic lob from distance.
Trearddur Bay made a change and replaced McMullan with Abbie Manning, who made an immediate impact, playing some nice football and constant running.
The last 20 minutes saw both teams chase a winner. In the 86th minute Woods was brought down deep in the Caernarfon half.
The 19-year-old Woods took the free kick and sent a powerful shot into the top left corner of Caernarfon’s goal.
Bay brought Sian Roberts on for Turner, another defender helping to ensure they saw the game out.
Caernarfon pushed for a late equaliser but Trearddur Bay worked really well as a team and earned themselves a well-deserved 3 points.
