Football wonder woman Kirstie Kural keeps finding different ways to be a sporting success!

North Wales football fans will probably best know Kirstie for her amazing two seasons with Connah’s Quay Nomads, where she netted a total of 59 goals in 44 appearances.

As captain, she played a pivotal part in the Deesiders winning back-to-back NEWFA Challenge Cups, as well as finishing runners-up in the Adran North in 2022-23.

She also famously upstaged her illustrious title-winning opponents Wrexham AFC Women in a player of the match performance at the Racecourse in 2022-23, live on TV in front of more than 9,511 fans.

Last season she briefly moved to Cymru Premier side TNS, then returned to Nomads, but most of the campaign saw Kirstie focus on her other great love – Futsal.

In this sport, she has been a prolific goalscorer for Cheshire in the National Series and a key performer for Wrexham.

Now Kirstie and three team-mates from the Bolton club have been selected to represent England futsal in the first ever Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in October in Moldova

Kirstie, Lailah Booth, Laura Robin and Joy Lowe are proud and honored to earn their international selections.

The foursome are now seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of them taking part.

An appeal on Just Giving has already raised almost £3,000 towards it’s £3,500 – so a final push is required to reach the magical figure.

Kirstie said: “We are currently preparing for an exciting and challenging journey to qualify for the first ever Women’s Futsal World Cup in 2025, a goal that requires dedication, hard work, and crucially, support from sponsors/ donations.

“Futsal is growing rapidly in popularity, and as a fast-paced, highly skilled version of football, it offers unique visibility and engagement opportunities for brands. Our upcoming competition to qualify for the first Women’s Fifa Futsal World Cup in 2025 will draw attention from both national and international audiences, providing an excellent platform for showcasing the sport and for players to compete at the highest level.

“We are committed to excellence both on and off the court, and believe that with your help we can excel on court and push for World Cup qualification.

“Unfortunately futsal isn’t funded by the English FA so it requires players to try and get a sponsor or donations to ensure we are able to fund our journey and compete internationally.

“If you would like to sponsor us then please get in touch. Alternatively if you would like to help out with our fund, any donations would be gratefully welcomed.

“For each person to represent their country in the sport they love they have to pay which goes towards training camps and kit supplied by England futsal.

“We also play for Bolton futsal club and will use donations to help support our futsal this season as we hope to develop and improve from a successful season last year.

“Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our England futsal journey and our personal quest to qualify for the 2025 Women’s World Cup.”
