Congratulations are in order to Clwb Bowlio Rhuddlan Bowling Club Ladies team on becoming Section B Champions of the Clwydian Ladies League for season 2024.
In only their second season back in this revamped league, its team well led by Shirley Capper went one better than last season when they finished in a close runners-up spot to Vardre Ladies, currently Section A pacesetters.
This time around moreover, the team proved virtually unstoppable, recording 10 wins in 12 league matches.
Rhuddlan clinched both title and promotion after a fine 8-2 home victory over Rhyl Ladies in their final match of another exciting season.
Sian Ollerton won all her 12 games, a fantastic achievement, while Shirley Capper, Jackie Ollerton and Pauline Kenny featured as other notable standout performers.
Mike Elgin, club chair, proudly commented: “Next season, Section A will offer a new challenge for Rhuddlan Ladies, something our team will no doubt be up for!”
