CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s encouraging pre-season continued on Sunday with an 11-0 win over Amlwch Town at Belle Vue.
Sade Benjamin led the way with six goals for the Lilywhites, new signing Jazmine Mollatt delivered a double and there was one each from Rosie O’Brien, Laura Williams and Chelsea Evans.
The previous weekend saw Rhyl defeat the touring Glenavon Ladies 7-4, Rosie O’Brien netting a hat-trick, Chelsea Evans a double, Sade Benjamin a single and A Trialist also made the scoresheet.
Benjamin was also on the mark in a 2-0 victory over Warrington Town on July 21, A Trialist scoring the other.
Rhyl also won a pre-season tournament at Northop Hall
Over the summer, Jade Scott, Llinos Hughes and Jaz Mollatt have been added to the squad.
On the coaching side, Rhyl 1879 have announced Jay Rosedale and Andy Molyneux are first-team assistant-managers for 2024-25, with Matt Lewis appointed as physio.
Cassie Thomas recently stepped down as manager and news on her replacement is awaited.
