Bangor (12) 160-6 Northop (3) 158-10

Idrees Ijaz claimed a season’s best 5-31 as Bangor celebrated a fifth straight win to edge up to fourth spot in the table, while Northop slid to fifth after a second loss on the bounce.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, the Flintshire side were dismissed for 158, Elliot Colclough (50) and Peet Pienaar (39) putting on 78 for the first wicket before the rest of the batting collapsed.

Ijaz’s five-for came off 10 overs, while Smit Parekh was in form again, scooping 3-16 off a very economical 10.

Bangor made it home on 160-6 off 38.1, Franco Kasner best with 44, Nadeem Rehman 33 and Owen Reilly 28, Ashraf Nawab 2-44 for the visitors.

Mochdre (13) 161-5 Gresford (2) 158-10

Hot title favourites Mochdre extended their lead at the summit to 33 points with just four sets of matches remaining after seeing off Gresford by five wickets.

The visitors won the toss and chose to bat, putting together 158 all out, Chris Ellwood 58, Matty Humphreys the most successful home bowler with 4-58.

Mochdre hit back with 161-5 from 34.3, Alex Davies 38 and Adam Campion 34, Ellwood 3-35 and Simon Perry 2-21 off 10 for the Wrexham-area side.

Gwersyllt Park (13) 132-10 Denbigh (2) 74-10

Resurgent Gwersyllt recorded a fine win at home to Denbigh after setting a modest 132 all out, Jake James 32 and Iroshan De Silva 25, Ieuan Jones pocketing 4-30 and Andy Clarke 2-21 for the visitors.

Denbigh collapsed to 74 all out in response, Venumadhav Peram 3-14 off 7.4 and Cai Pearson 2-16 for the winning hosts, who turned over high-flyers Northop seven days earlier.

Llandudno (2) 180-10 St Asaph (13) 243-8

Nathanael Scott led the charge with 96 as Saints set a mighty total of 243-8 after winning the toss and deciding to bat.

Scott and skipper Will Ryan (63) put together an awesome stand of 143 for the third-wicket, while William Norman added 34.

While some of the Tudno attack came in for some hammer, Tom Thornton produced a fine spell of 5-25 off five overs, Jack Rimmington removing both openers in his 2-25.

Llandudno gave it a good go in reply, but ended up 180 all out.

Elliott Hughes made an impressive 47, Divya Pratap Singh 45 and Jamie Grimshaw 29 for the battling hosts.

Robbie Prior collected 3-30 for Saints, Matty Ryan 3-31 and William Norman 2-31.

Menai Bridge (1) 202-10 Brymbo (14) 203-3

Chris Taylor was top of the batting chart with 82 as Brymbo romped to a seven-wicket success at Tyn-y-Caeau Drive.

Bridge called the coin correctly and took first knock, chalking up a decent score of 202 all out, Jack Gower 56, Robbie Jones 51 and Arwel Thomas 42, Daniel Parry 3-12 off 6.2, Connor Davies 3-37 and Sam Aplin 2-8 for the Steelmen.

Brymbo’s response was emphatic, Taylor and Aplin (36) outting on 119 for the opening wicket.

Connor Davies finished on 56 not out as the visitors reached 203-3 off 35.2 overs for a 14-1 points decision.
